From hustle to passion, greetings dear friends, happy new week, thank you for always supporting my blog. The story I'm about to share with you now is something I have shared before here on Hive, but I'm always proud to talk about it Because I really benefited from it and still benefiting. Braiding is one of the well paying skills here in Nigeria, because of how it make one look beautiful, if I'm not mistaken, Salon work is something I used to dislike, because from afar I see it as a very stressful work.

Back then when I was much younger, one of my older siblings owned a salon, so when she got married, she asked me to always come to help her with her work. And at the end of the day, she could tip me with something, as a young girl then, I have my need to take care of, so when she made that offer, in as much as I hate that job, I know that I needed the money, it all started like a joke, I started braiding little by little, Along the line, I started making hair for people, and they paid, and the reason why I enjoyed it more was that any hair I made then, she let me go with the money no matter how much. People started patronizing me more, it got to a point that I was even offering home services and making more money and that made the work enjoyable.

That continued till the time I got admission into the university, and the truth is the one skill helped me while in school; I made extra money because I braided for people and they paid. So braiding is the skill I have, and it has helped my life a lot. I hated it then, but now I love it because it now a passion and not just a skill. And at the end of the day, what I learned about all of these is that, determination lead to success. Thanks for stopping by.
