Welcome back,
I earn most of my livelihood from crypto trading, a little from writing here on the Hive blockchain, and then I do some side part time work that adds to my income. But trading and long term investment are the most important things that really contribute to my livelihood and matter the most to me. In today’s blog, I am going to share how I managed to stay dedicated to the charts, and how I made sure to give enough time reading them and doing my thing, so that I don’t skip anything any day, any moment.
There are a lot of things that work as distractions. For example, social media. One of the platforms I am most active on is Instagram. I will share an incident from just last night. I was scrolling through Instagram and then I suddenly realized it was already 2 am. I had spent an entire hour just scrolling my feed, and honestly, I didn’t like that at all because one hour is really precious, and I actually wasted it just scrolling.
But I am human, and errors are part of life but I am not one of those who spend a lot of time on Instagram every day. When it comes to trading, which is the core medium of my livelihood, here’s what I do, I stay focused on trading different tokens on a daily basis and keep checking the charts from time to time.
I manage my sleep cycle properly. I know if you are a trader, you are going to connect with me on this. Because as traders, we have to stay alert 24x7. Sometimes, when we are asleep, there is news that impacts the entire market, and that can be a chance of making or losing money. But if you are sleeping, there’s nothing you can do about it. So here’s what most traders do, or at least what I personally practice. I sleep a few hours at night, around 4–5 hours, and then I sleep another 2–3 hours in the afternoon. That way, I complete my 7–8 hours of sleep cycle every day.
So the time I am left with is the time when my laptop is always on and the charts are always open, especially Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the tokens I am investing in. They stay on my screen most of the time. I also have my friends with whom I connect daily. We talk on calls, sometimes we meet, and that’s how we decide what we are going to buy, sell, or hold for the next few weeks or months.
I sometimes feel that maybe I made a mistake choosing this journey of being a trader. But deep down I know that at the end of the day, I am going to prove to my family and everyone who knows me that it was not a bad decision. It actually worked out for me. When I decided to be a trader, that was the only thing I wanted to do in life, there was no backup plan and that’s why I am still surviving. It’s been around seven to eight years now, and I have never worked under anyone. I am still surviving, and I am doing good in my life.
So, to end this blog, I want to share a few notes. First, never waste your time on useless things. Stay away from social media as much as you can. Manage your sleep cycle, because your sleep is really important. No matter what you are doing in life, make sure you get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. And out of that, at least 5 to 6 hours should be at night, because that’s what your body truly needs.
Whatever you are doing in life, give it proper time. Don’t treat it as a secondary option or something you will do later. If you really want to achieve something, especially if it’s difficult or technical, you have to give it your time. So manage your time wisely, stay away from distractions, and that’s how you are going to move forward.
May you all succeed in life no matter what it is related to, Thank you and happy trading everyone!
