Life, Loss, and the Lessons We Never Expect

Sometimes life teaches us the most important lessons during the most difficult times. One of my friends recently lost her sister because she was suffering from typhoid for a long time.
She was recovering, but after a few days or weeks, the same symptoms would appear again.
Even though she was on a very light food diet so that her stomach could feel better, because typhoid affects the stomach a lot, she still could not bear what she was going through. Recently, she passed away due to a heart attack.
Maybe her soul gave up fighting the disease she had been suffering from for so long. I was talking to my friend, and I realized how sometimes the most important lessons of life come during the most difficult phases.
She was deeply upset about losing the younger sister in the family, especially because she was very loving towards everyone. Generally, the younger son or daughter is the one who is loved the most, and now they are left only with memories.
I also learned once again how unpredictable life is and how sometimes we have to face losses that we never expect, just like in the case of my friend.
Life is beautiful, but it is a mixture of holding on and letting go. Maybe this was the moment for my friend’s family to let go and continue their lives without that special person.
The only thing they can do now is cherish the memories they shared with the one who has left this world to meet the souls of ancestors in another world, which many believe is life after this one.
I think it is better to be thankful for the memories rather than only crying over the loss. I know it is very easy to say this but very difficult to practice, because only the person who is suffering from such a loss truly understands the pain.
This incident taught me how important it is to respect and value every single person in our lives, regardless of age, because we never know who will go first and who will stay longer. Thank you, and I hope none of us ever have to go through such a phase in life.
