Pet's And It's Possible Owner's

Do I currently have a pet, or would i like to have one in the future?

I remember those days in the village where pets are nothing but to hunt preys in the bush for almost all farmers. Back then we also had up to 3 dogs which continously gave birth and their puppies being sold out to other potential owners.

We had this female dog called Longie, it's funny because as of then I disliked her because of her behavior, she usually goes into the bush and give birth and alot of the times bury them up just like that and as a child I always wonder why?, when hearing the adults talking about it.

We also had another dog which was like the families favorite, her name was Venture, actually my Dad's favorite, she was extremely protective to the point where, she even made a passing byer break his breakable plates just because he was scared, and my dad ended up paying for them.

I have never imagined myself as an adult having pet of my own not because am allergic or anything but because of how I saw them being ignored alot of the time.

I feel I might do differently in terms of taking care of them but still hmmm, I feel the responsibility will be too much for me plus pets needs all the care and attention and I don't think I can give them that.

If today I decide to have a pet, it would definitely be a dog. I love how domesticated they are, if well trained they can help with security, stress relief and also makes you to have a routine exercise because you have to walk the dog.

Also I'm abit skeptical about parts where Dog's can also be extremely aggressive to their owners, to the point of hurting them which obviously will be classified as a domestic accident, well nobody is praying for that, but it happens and I have heard and seen so many cases.

I feel there is so many questions to be answered and asked by a potential Dog owner, before adopting one as a pet into their homes.

This is in response to indiaunited weekly prompt for more information click here.

Thank you!!
