The Man Who Inspired Millions!
Hello to my fellow community members,
Friends, recently the situation in my country has been a little sad because most of the people who are coming against the government are being thrown behind the bars. Now, I am not someone who wants to start a political debate, but in today’s blog I want to talk about a person from my country who has contributed a lot towards the nation.
Just because he wanted some rights for his state, today he is behind the bars. I am talking about Sonam Wangchuk, one of the figures from India known for his inventions for army officers and for the awards he has won at both national as well as international level.
I do not know what the readers think about him, but I personally look up to him as one of the most inspirational figures because of the things he has done for the nation. The best invention I know about is the camp he built for army officers, which are used at places with very low temperatures. In extreme cold regions, these camps help army officers stay inside and feel warm.
There was a movie which got quite famous internationally and in India it is among the best movies of the last decade. I think there is no better movie I have seen in the past, and that movie is Three Idiots. It was inspired by the character of Sonam Wangchuk. Initially, there was a book that was written, and then one of the directors brought that bookish character to the big screen.
That is how most of us came to know about Sonam Wangchuk, a person who was known for inventing new things, not following others like sheep, and who won the Raymond Magsaysay award and many other international awards.
So it is really heartbreaking to know that he is now behind the bars, and that too for something even more heartbreaking. He is accused of taking some money from an organization that was actually given to him for a good cause.
But obviously, when officials want to trap someone, they can twist everything falsely, and that seems to have happened in the case of Sonam Wangchuk as well.
The good thing is that he was not afraid to go behind the bars. He even created a video on YouTube before this incident, where he said that he might go behind the bars and he would be happy to do so if it helped to wake up the youth and show them what is happening in the country.
And honestly, I think though it is very sad that he is behind the bars, it has already started waking up the young generation, who are now beginning to see things more clearly.
I stand with Sonam Wangchuk and I hope he will be released soon. I also hope the government will listen to what they are demanding, because I believe there is nothing wrong in what they are asking for. I am again saying this that this is not something political. I am not supporting or revolting against any political party here. I know it is not good to strike on any political party.
We all can come from different backgrounds. We all can support anyone. It is our freedom. But right now, I think it is time to unite and stand for this man who has done a lot for our nation.
