Hello to my fellow community members,
It has been a long time since I last wrote a blog, but today I finally found something that made me want to sit down and write again.
If you are interested in investing, cryptocurrency trading, or even if you are someone who has no idea about these things but wants to learn, then I think this blog is for you.

A few days ago, I came across a contest where people were writing blogs about a platform called SpearTrades (@speartrades) . To be honest, I had never heard about the platform before. Yes, the contest had a huge prize pool, and that is probably what attracted many people to participate, but I wanted to do something different.
Instead of simply writing for the contest, I decided to spend some time exploring the platform first. I clicked through almost every section, tested different features, and tried to understand how everything worked. So this is not a paid review. These are simply my genuine first impressions after using SpearTrades for the past two days.
The moment I opened the platform, I liked the dashboard.

It looked clean, modern, and easy on the eyes. More importantly, I did not have to search for important market information because everything was already there in front of me.
At the top of the dashboard I could immediately see the Fear and Greed Index, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization, the twenty four hour trading volume, Bitcoin dominance, Ethereum dominance, Tether dominance, altcoin dominance, market sentiment, and even the United States Dollar Index.
That honestly impressed me.
Normally, if I want to check all these things, I have to open several different websites. One platform shows the Fear and Greed Index, another shows market dominance, while another gives me market sentiment.
Here, most of that information was available on a single screen.
That alone gave me a really good first impression.
While exploring the homepage, I noticed a section called Low Risk Coins.
Naturally, I clicked on it.

From what I understood, this section is not telling anyone what to buy. Instead, it shows historical data about how different cryptocurrencies have performed during a particular month.
I actually liked that approach because historical performance can sometimes give useful context when we are studying the market.
While looking around, I also explored sections like Trend Momentum Leaders, Top Gainers, Top Losers, Overvalued Cryptocurrencies, and Undervalued Cryptocurrencies.
There is honestly a lot of data available throughout the platform.
Out of everything I explored, one feature easily became my favourite.
I spend a lot of time looking at charts, so the idea of receiving an alert instead of checking charts every few minutes sounded really useful.
Creating my first alert was surprisingly simple.
I created a Bitcoin alert with two conditions.
The first condition was that the Relative Strength Index should go below 20 on the daily time frame.
The second condition was that the Money Flow Index should go below 15 on the daily time frame.
If both conditions become true, I will receive an alert.
I have shared a GIF below showing exactly how I created it.

This is the feature that impressed me the most because it saves time. Instead of sitting in front of charts throughout the day, I can simply let the platform monitor the market for me.
There is also another section called Private Alerts where the SpearTrades team shares their own alerts. I briefly looked at it, but I have not explored it enough to give an opinion. I would rather spend more time understanding how it works before talking about it.
The second feature that stood out to me was the Cryptocurrency Screener.
I think traders are going to enjoy this one.
For example, I clicked on Overbought Relative Strength Index, and within seconds I could see all the cryptocurrencies that were considered overbought.
What I liked even more was that I could switch between different time frames very easily.

1M, 5M, 30M, 1H, 4H, 1D, 1W and I could even see everything together.
Another thing I noticed was that I was not forced to use the default Relative Strength Index value. If I wanted to look for cryptocurrencies above 75 instead of 70, I could simply change the value.
The same goes for values like 80 or even 90.
That level of customization is something I really appreciated because every trader has a different strategy.
My experience has been positive so far, but there are still a couple of things that I think could make the platform even better.
The first one is the Risk Analysis section.
There is a lot of useful information there, including monthly risk, third quarter returns, third quarter risk, weekly returns, and several other metrics.

The problem is that a beginner might not understand what some of these terms actually mean.
For example, someone who has just entered the cryptocurrency market may not know what third quarter return or week thirty risk means.
I think adding a small information icon or hover explanation beside each term would make the platform much more beginner friendly.
It is only a small suggestion, but I believe it would improve the user experience a lot.

I also spent some time exploring the Trend Momentum section.
It shows things like trend direction, trend strength, volatility, and momentum scores.
The platform already has both Simple Mode and Advanced Mode, which definitely helps.
Still, I had the same thought here.
A few hover explanations beside different metrics would make it much easier for newcomers to understand what they are looking at without leaving the page.
I also explored individual cryptocurrency pages.
Each cryptocurrency comes with its own technical analysis, pivot levels, historical returns, and several other statistics.
One feature I personally enjoyed was Past Returns.

No one can predict the future using historical data alone, but I still think it is useful to know how a cryptocurrency has behaved during previous months or quarters.
It gives additional context while doing research.
During the last two days, I noticed the platform became slightly slow a couple of times.
It was not a major issue, and most of the time everything worked smoothly.
Apart from that, I genuinely enjoyed using it.
One thing that surprised me was the educational section.
I found several blogs published on the platform covering topics like understanding market sentiment and the Fear and Greed Index.

Those are definitely on my reading list because I enjoy learning about how different market indicators work.
Overall, I have had a good experience with SpearTrades.
There are still a few features that I have not explored properly, especially the Portfolio section and the team's Private Alerts, so I will save my opinion on those for another day.
For now, my favourite feature is definitely the custom alert system, followed closely by the screener.
I also like the fact that most of the important market information is available on one dashboard instead of being scattered across different websites.
I honestly wish I had discovered this platform earlier because I can already see myself using it regularly.
I have also started collecting Spear Points, so I am curious to see what rewards they might offer in the future.

A small bug I found is that I was able to claim the spear points again and again so I hope that will be fixed.
This is only my first impression after using the platform for a couple of days, and I know there is still a lot left for me to explore.
Once I spend more time with SpearTrades, I will definitely come back and share another blog with all of you.
