S.U.C.C.E.S.S

If we are to look at the diverse definition of success, we will be able to figure out that there are some words that connects all of them together. Some view success to be freedom, some see it as fulfillment, some see it as accomplishments and most view it as being wealthy. Anytime I ask a younger generation (Gen Z) about what they consider as been successful, the reply I often time's get is freedom, happiness and balance, unlike the older generations that mostly associate success to wealth, achievements, legacy and even security.

There are levels and places in life that being successful just automatically guarantee's your entry and participation. To some people, when they can do whatever they want, at the time they want and where they want, then that's what been successful mean to them. I have seen those that take their legacy to be their identification of success, others consider growth and improvement in their lives and workplace to be what defines their success and even being genuinely happy and contented is another definition of success to many.

From my own point of view as to what success is, I see success as the ability of someone being able to align their life with what matters to them most, be it achievements, wealth, growth, impact and even balance, reaching a point of fulfilment in life. Am sure some of you have come across people who say "if I am financially secure, then I am successful", well that is not a lie, because to a certain extent being able to carter for yourself, your family's needs and help others in the process can also be considered as being truly successful.

To some, achieving their goals which have been set for a long time be it in their professional line, or by earning a high qualification educationally or in business by expanding and creating new products, is what being successful mean to them. Let's not forget that being successful does not only stop at achieving one's goal, or creating wealth, or self improvement, or having the autonomy and freedom to do as we see fit, but when we encourage and give advice to those in need of encouragement and things turn out for the better for them as a result of that advice, or lending a helping hand to someone who is in need of financial aid be it a friend or stranger, that is also another class and level of success.

I find fulfillment and feel truly successful when I turn back and see the lives that have been blessed by me, my dreams being achieved, my family and friends being taken care of both on a financial level and emotional level. Being successful does not necessarily end on the big and flashy things that happens in our life or around us but also among the little things that matters the most both in our lives and the society as a whole.
