A PLACE OF COMFORT

When they talk about comfort, what does it mean to you? Because to me I take comfort to be that period of time where my state of mind is at ease, and I feel free both physically and emotionally. There are so many things that can make a person feel comfortable and it varies depending on individuals, and I know for sure that a lot of people go to extreme lengths just to make sure that they are comfortable in life, regardless of circumstances and situations, defying fate or any obstacles along the way.

I know it might be different for some of you base on where you find comfort, but to me the particular place that brings me comfort and ease are solely two places, which are "my work and my home". Yes you heard me well, "my work and my home" are my places of comfort and that's because I love what I do very well and am good at doing it, even thought I learn daily as things changes daily.

My house is my first place of comfort, because regardless of where I go or how hard I work, I still come back home to find peace, rest and happiness. There is a saying in our Nigerian slangs "Everybody na king for him lane" and in direct English translation it means "You're a king in your own turf" (that's based on my understanding of the word), but what am trying to say is, when am at home I decide what I do and how I do it.

I have a lot of free time to think and brainstorm on a calmer note, enough time to read and meditate on the books I read, because reading books is something I love doing and more importantly, a quiet environment to rest and recover.

Am wired in two different directions, that's why both my work and my home bring me comfort. I feel comfortable, proud and extremely happy when I tend to accomplish something that I have been aiming to achieve. I feel more comfortable when I can provide for my loved one's, carter to their needs, lend a helping hand to those who are in financial constraints be it friend or stranger, as long as I have the means and that's why I love what I do alot and because I love it, I do it passionately with all my heart and I yield positive results at the end.
