Splinterlands Update: How New Modifiers and Based League Chances Change the Game

Today we are going to talk about some new modifier updates that have been added to Splinterlands and why I think they are really interesting. Before that, I would like to talk about an ability named Camouflage.

Camouflage is an ability where a card with this ability cannot be directly targeted unless it is in the first position. Earlier, what used to happen was that people would bring a strong card with this ability and keep it in the last position, and unless it came to the very first position, it was almost impossible to target that card.

Now there is finally a way that allows other monsters to attack this type of card, and that modifier is called Aimless. The Aimless modifier is a modifier where all units with magic and ranged attacks get a scatter shot ability, which means they will target random enemy units.

Because of this, they can now hit cards with the Camouflage ability as well. It is still random, so there is no guarantee that the camouflaged card will be targeted, but this modifier at least makes it possible. That is why I am really happy to see a modifier like this added to the game.

According to the latest update, these modifiers are given to players based on their league. If you are in the Wood league, the chance of getting any special modifier is 0%. In the Bronze league, there is a 75% chance of getting one modifier and a 25% chance of getting a standard match.

In the Silver league, there is a 75% chance of getting two modifiers, a 20% chance of getting one modifier, and a 5% chance of getting a standard match. In the Gold league and above, there is a 73% chance of getting three modifiers at once, a 15% chance of getting two modifiers, an 8% chance of getting one modifier, and a 2% chance of getting a standard match.

That is how these modifiers work as per the latest update in the game. I do not know what the rules were earlier because I never went through them before. This was my first time checking them, and I found out about it after seeing the update notification on the Splinterlands page.

That is all I wanted to share from Splinterlands today. I am going to complete my campaign mode very soon so that I can start playing Frontier mode. Right now, I cannot play it because I do not own any cards from that category, but by playing the free campaign mode, I will earn some cards and hopefully start playing that mode very soon.

That is all from my Splinterlands game and now in the screenshot below you can see my terracore base where I had 5 attacks on a penalty base but we still used them and the outcomes were nice considering that we were there with penalties.
