Splinterlands - Opening 8 Foundation and Minor Chests, Combining 120 Cards, and an Interesting Modifier Battle

Hello everyone,
How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

I am back with another Splinterlands blog, and today I want to share something a bit different.

Before that, I would like to talk about my future plan in the game. I am planning to shift completely from Frontier battle mode to Modern battle mode. I feel like I have already earned enough in Frontier mode and reached the highest league possible there. Now I want to focus on mastering the Modern league.

I will still play Frontier occasionally, but my main focus will now be on Modern mode. For that, I am also planning to start buying packs and cards directly.

As usual, I started the day by opening foundation packs. Normally I open five, but today I only had four, so I opened four foundation packs. As you can see in the screenshot below, I was not expecting much from them. Even though last time I got a gold summoner, I still kept my expectations low.

In the screenshot, you can see all the cards I received. Thankfully, this was not a bad opening. I got two summoners, which is enough for me to feel satisfied.

Today, I also upgraded two of my common cards. In the screenshot below, you can see the first one, New Beluroc Aegis. I combined 60 cards to upgrade it.

Then I also upgraded Kanaaq Miner by combining 60 cards, and now both of them are at their maximum level.

After that, I went to the Glint shop and bought Minor Chests. I only bought four chests for 2,000 Glint. I was hoping to get at least one or two common cards.

As you can see below, I was lucky enough to get one rare card from those four chests. I also received 170 merits, 99 merits, and one alchemy potion charge. So overall, it was a good deal this time.

I then checked the market value of the new card I got. The card is Anchor Hex Adept from the Earth category, and it is worth around 9 cents. I am happy to have it.

Now let me share one of the battles I played today.

This battle had the “Going the Distance” modifier, which means only ranged monsters could be used. It also had the “Equal Opportunity” modifier, so every monster had the opportunity ability and attacked the enemy with the lowest health.

Both of us used Earth element monsters. The battle was quite balanced, but my Alan Musketeer was one level higher than my opponent’s, which gave me some confidence.

In Round 2, it was 4 vs 4, so the match was very close.

But in the final round, it became 3 vs 1, and I was able to win the battle.

So that is all I did in Splinterlands today. It was a decent day. I got a rare card from Conclave Arcana and two summoners from foundation packs. Nothing too big, but still something to feel good about.

Now coming to Terracore.

In my Terracore base, I had 8 attacks ready, and I used all of them at once. Since I recently upgraded my stats, I was expecting to earn at least 2000 scraps.

But as you can see in the screenshot below, I only earned around 1100 scraps, which was a bit disappointing.

That’s all for today.

Thank You all.
