Splinterlands - Opening 5 Foundation Packs, Winning 2 Gold Foil Cards and Eggceleration Modifier

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

This is a good day for me in Splinterlands, and you are going to know why I am saying this.

I was excited because I had seven foundation chests to open. I also checked my Glint balance for future planning. Recently, I was forced to leave my guild for some reason, so now I am available to join a new guild. I am not a very strong player, but if you want me to join your guild, feel free to drop your guild link, and I will join.

In the screenshot below, you can see my Glint balance and also the modifier currently active in the game for the Easter season. Here, all units gain +1 to all stats at the end of each round. That is what the Eggceleration modifier means. If you are playing in Modern battle mode, you will have to deal with this modifier.

In the screenshot below, you can see my seven foundation chests ready to open. But as usual, I don’t want to fall into greed, so I decided to open only five of them and save the remaining two for later.

In the screenshot below, you can see the cards I won. This time, I have to say that after a long time, I finally got some really interesting rewards. I didn’t get a legendary card, but I am still happy because I got multiple epic cards and one rare gold foil card, which is a summoner.

You already know that summoners are quite valuable in terms of both pricing and rarity. I also got another gold card from the common category.

Let’s take a look at both of them separately.

In the screenshot below, you can see the rare gold foil summoner I won Incessant Sage from the Life category.

In the next screenshot, you can see New Beluroc Aegis, which is a normal card. This is one of the cards I use very often, so I am happy to get it.

I am not sure yet whether I will sell these cards or keep them, because so far I haven’t sold any gold cards that I have won in the game. Now I have two gold summoners from the Foundation set, as shown in the screenshot below, Aurelia and Incessant Sage.

Now let me share one of the battles I played today. This battle had both the Burning Status and Unprotected modifiers.

In this battle, armor was not allowed, so all units had zero armor. The Burning modifier gives a 33% chance to spread to adjacent units, and all affected units lose 2 health per round. Burning can be cleansed, but most of the time it continues throughout the battle.

In the screenshot below, you can see round 2, where all my monsters were still alive, while my opponent was already down to five monsters. I was confident about winning this battle because I chose Giam Root, a legendary monster from the Earth category.

This card was especially useful because of the Burning modifier, and you will see its impact by the end of the battle.

In the screenshot below, which is round 3, I had four monsters left while my opponent had three. Two of the opponent’s monsters were already at low health and were about to die due to the Burning effect, while my monsters were still strong. I was preparing for the final blow.

In the final screenshot, you can see that I won the battle. Giam Root played a major role, as it was still alive with 9 health. Even if it had come down to Giam Root versus the opponent’s last monster, Saltwater Mage, I would have still won because of its high health despite the Burning damage.

So that’s everything I did in Splinterlands today.

It was a great day for me. I got a gold summoner and multiple epic cards. I think I got four epic cards from just five foundation chests, which is definitely something worth celebrating.

In the screenshot above you can see my terracore base attacks that went so good, winning that much even after one attack getting dodged completely was insane. I have penalty so I will work on them soon.
