Splinterlands - Opening 5 Foundation Packs, Winning a Gold Foil Summoner and my first battle with Epic Gladiator

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

Back with another post on Splinterlands. Today I have something really interesting to share.

I am happy today because I got to fight with my gladiator for the very first time. This happened because of the Are You Not Entertained modifier in Modern mode. This modifier allows you to summon one additional gladiator, which means if you own a gladiator from Gladius packs, you can use it in battle.

As usual, I started on the Mana Well page where I had 5 foundation chests. I was not very excited about opening them because, as you all know, I have not been very lucky with pack openings recently. Still, I opened all of them.

In the screenshot below, you can see all the cards I got. At first, I did not even realize that I had received something special. But in the fourth row, there was a gold summoner card, and that made me really happy. That single card is worth more than two legendary cards. If I sell it, I can easily buy two top-level legendary cards from the same categories.

In the next screenshot, you can see that I won Marlai Singariel, a rare gold foil card. I am really happy about it.

Now I have three gold summoners from the Foundation category, as shown below. I have not sold any of them so far. I do not know why, but I just want to collect them and complete the set in gold form.

After that, I played some Modern battles, and that is where I got the chance to use my gladiator for the first time.

In the screenshot below, you can see the battle lineup. I was at the bottom, and my opponent was at the top. I used four monsters, while my opponent had six. But numbers do not always decide the result, especially when you have a strong gladiator.

In Round 3, it was 6 vs 2, and honestly, I thought I was going to lose. At that point, I started doubting whether my gladiator was strong enough.

But in Round 4, everything changed.

Because of the Bloodlust ability, my gladiator gained +1 to all stats after every kill. Since it was the last monster left on my side, it started taking down every enemy one by one. That is why you can see that its stats increased so much, 4 magic attack, 5 melee attack, and 6 speed.

In the screenshot below, you can see the final blow delivered by my gladiator. I was really impressed because this is exactly what I wanted to experience. My epic gladiator carried the entire battle and won it for me.

I also have a legendary gladiator from another element, and I will probably use it someday. But today was all about this epic gladiator.

While playing Modern mode, I also reached Bronze League 2.

As you can see in the screenshot below, I received 3 chest rewards. When I opened them, I got 80 merit points and two legendary potion charges.

So that is what I did in Splinterlands today. I am happy because I got a gold foil summoner, I finally played with my gladiator, and I also moved up in the league.

In my terracore base my penalties increased and so I upgraded my stats and then used my attacks to obtain the results you see below.

I won 1500 scraps using 5 attacks and it is enough for me, now I will like to end writing this blog.
