Splinterlands - Opening 5 Foundation Packs and my First Gladius Case, Winning my first legendary Gladiator and Season Rewards!

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

I am back with another Splinterlands blog and I have a lot of things to share today. There are some things that I have done for the first time in the game and I am going to share all of them with the people reading this blog.

So stay with me so that you can explore all the amazing things that I experienced myself.

First of all, in the screenshot below you can see that the season end has taken place. My highest league in Frontier battle mode was Gold 1, which is the highest possible league. So I am quite happy that I was able to stay in that league throughout the season.

In the modern battle mode, I was able to earn 4,609 Glints as end of season rewards. I am happy about that as well because this is the highest amount I have earned so far. I hope I can increase this number in the coming season.

As you can see in the screenshot above, there is an option called Spend Glint and Claim. I went to the Spend Glint section to explore what I should buy. In the screenshot below you can see that there are multiple assets that can be purchased with Glints.

Personally I decided to buy merits. One reason why merits feel more valuable to me is that we can buy Gladius packs from the guild using merits. That is why I decided to spend some of my Glints on merits.

In the screenshot below you can see that there were ten maximum purchases available for merits. So I spent Glints to buy 2000 merit points.

After buying the 2000 merit points you can see in the next screenshot that Batch 2 becomes more expensive.

It costs 300 Glints for every 200 merits, which means it requires more Glints for the same amount of merits. Because of that I decided to stay with Batch 1 and I am happy with what I received.

In the screenshot you can see that I spent 2000 merits to buy one Gladius case. This case contains five random cards as shown in the screenshot.

When I opened the Gladius case I was curious to see whether I would win an epic card because I had only bought one case. I was not expecting too much.

In the screenshot you can see that the very first card I received from the Gladius case was actually a legendary card. I was shocked and happy at the same time because winning a legendary card is always something special. I also received one rare card, which made the opening even better.

To be honest, I do not really care about the other four cards. Winning a legendary card is already enough for me.

In the screenshot below you can see the details of that card. The name of the card is Fina Voxom and it comes with the sneak ability. That is another great advantage for me. I will definitely try to use this card in battles whenever I get the opportunity and I will share those battles with all of you as well.

In the screenshot below you can also see the five foundation chest boxes that I opened along with their rewards. I did not pull anything very special this time, but I did receive two epic cards and some summoners.

I did not play any battle in the modern or frontier league today that was interesting enough to share in this blog. Hopefully I will have some exciting battles to share in my next post.

So this is everything I did in Splinterlands today. I am happy because I won my first Gladius legendary card, and I also learned more about how Gladius cards are used in the game.

You already saw that scraps stopped mining so I decided to upgrade the base and for that I used some scraps to push damage to the next level and that also helped us erase the penalties on the base and finally you can see the attacks done after the upgrades.

Not so good though but it's something better and two attacks were dodged out of five attacks so I am still not that disappointed.
