Splinterlands - Opening 5 Foundation Chests, Winning 2 Gold Foil and 1 Legendary card

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

Today, I have a lot of interesting things to share from Splinterlands. I am here to share more pack openings with all of you.

The Escalation packs will go live in a few days, and that is when I am going to use my potions to open those packs in the hope of winning gold foil cards. But for now, let us focus on what I won today, because it is definitely worth sharing.

First of all, you can see that I have already claimed my daily rewards, so they are now in my inventory. Now let us move to the open section, the Mana Well of Splinterlands, where we are going to open some Foundation packs today.

You can see that I currently have 11 Foundation packs and 4 Escalation packs that are not yet available to open. We will open those Escalation packs later when they become available. For now, I decided to open 5 Foundation packs and see what I would get.

In the screenshot below, you can see all the cards I won from the Foundation packs. I was very lucky today because in just five pack openings, I won two gold foil cards and one legendary card. And that was not all. I also won two epic cards, as you can already see in the screenshot above.

Now let me share the gold foil cards with you.

The first one is Savage Butcher, and it is a real gold foil card. I am very happy about winning this one. I already have a copy of this card, so I will combine them to upgrade the level of my gold foil card.

The second big win was the legendary card A'Lan Musketeer. This is one of the nicest cards I have played with because it comes with the Double Strike ability, which allows it to attack twice every round. However, I already have it at the maximum level, so I might sell this extra copy or maybe gift it to someone.

Lastly, I won another gold foil card named Dread tafarian. This is another beautiful card. I use this card almost every single day when I play with the Earth element, so this was also a great win for me.

Now let me share an interesting battle from today.

This battle came with two modifiers: Reverse Speed and Earthquake.

In the Reverse Speed modifier, units with the lowest speed attack first and have a higher chance to evade attacks. So no matter how fast your monster is, even a slow monster can attack first and dodge attacks.
The second modifier was Earthquake. In this rule set, all non-flying and snared units take two physical damage at the beginning of each round starting from round two. Because of this, battles usually do not last very long.


As you can see in the screenshot below, both my opponent and I used the Fire element, and many of our monsters were the same. However, I believe I had the upper hand because I included Agniavan Salamander
and A'Lan Musketeer, which are strong legendary cards. I felt confident about winning this battle.

I am sharing the final round directly, which was round three. That was the round where I secured the win. Since the Earthquake modifier was active, all monsters were losing two health each round after round two, so the battle ended quickly.

That is everything I did in Splinterlands today and let me share something from my golem overlord and terracore base now with all of you. I won 1113 scraps from six attacks in my base with penalties as you can see in the screenshot below.

In my golem overlord we used some of the attacks even though are base was on penalty and we still manage to win a decent amount.
