Splinterlands - Opening 4 Escalation Packs, Winning 2 Gold Foil and My first Conclave Arcane Set

Hello everyone,
How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

The day when Escalation packs in Splinterlands could finally be opened arrived, and I opened all of my Escalation packs early in the morning at 5 a.m. I did not get enough time to write a post about it then, but I am here now, even if it is a little late.

As you can see in the screenshot below, I had four Escalation packs, and I used both of my potions to try to pull a gold foil card from the few packs I had. In total, we received 16 cards, and I was really hoping to find at least one strong gold foil card in them.

Below, you can also see how the Escalation packs look. I really like their design. They look beautiful and well made. By the way, I also have nine Foundation packs, but I decided not to open them today. Maybe I will open them on another day and create a separate post about that.

In the screenshot showing all the cards I won from the Escalation packs, you can see the full results. To be honest, I am not very happy with the opening. Even though I won two gold foil cards, they both came from the common category, and I did not get a single epic card this time. So yes, I am a little disappointed. But it is part of the game, and I accept whatever cards I get.

The two gold foil cards I won are SteelShield Arbalest and Ballista Deadshot. Both are common cards.

I actually like Ballista Deadshot because it comes with 5 magic attack power, and this is my first card with that much magic power. That makes it a special win for me.

I also completed my daily rewards in Frontier mode. The rewards included three Foundation packs and entries into the weekly draw, which is always a nice bonus.

After that, I decided to play in Modern game mode because these new cards can be used there. I wanted to test them in a real battle. I am sharing one of the battles below. I used some of the new cards, and they actually performed quite well.

The battle had the Earthquake modifier, where every unit takes 2 physical damage at the beginning of each round starting from round 2. That is one of the reasons I was able to win quickly.

I am sharing the final round, which was round 2, where I secured the victory. My monsters had higher health compared to my opponent’s team, which gave me the advantage under the Earthquake ruleset.

That is all from Splinterlands today. Let me know, do you think these Escalation packs were worth it this time?

In the screenshot above you can see the attacks from my terracore base and they were not worth sharing but that is what we did in the base today. Winning just 700+ scraps out of 5 attacks in total.

That is all for today, Thank You!
