Splinterlands - Opening 25 Foundation Packs, winning 3 Gold Foils and learning to use Ironwing Juggernaut, A Low MC Monster!

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

It has been a little while since I shared anything about Splinterlands. I was away from blogging and other activities, and I did not even play Splinterlands for the last few days.

Because of that I missed my daily rewards and some good opportunities. But now I am back with the same energy, and as usual I am going to share some pack openings. This time it is going to be a mega pack opening because I opened 25 foundation packs.

This is actually one of the highest numbers of packs I have opened at once. I have never opened 25 packs together before in my life. So let us hope for the best. As usual I am not expecting too much so that I do not feel disappointed later depending on what I win from the chest boxes.

In the screenshot below you can see the first set of rewards where I earned two gold foil cards. I am happy about that even though they are common gold foil cards. Apart from that I won three Aurelia Summoners and three Barthalamus Summoners. I also received one Thalgrimore. So in total I won seven summoners in the first set.

In the second set, which you can see in the screenshot below, I won another gold foil card. Once again it is a common card but I am still happy to have it. I also won two epic cards as you can already see. Apart from that I received two Marlai Singariel cards, which is another summoner. So in total I won nine summoners from these 25 chest openings along with three gold foil cards and some epic cards as well.

Overall I am happy with the rewards, although I was hoping to get a life summoner because I need to upgrade that one as it is currently lagging behind. But that is fine. I will just continue playing and hope that one day I win that summoner as well.

Now let us look at one of the battles that I played today. This is a battle where you can clearly understand the importance of low mana cost monsters.

In the screenshot below you can see that I went with Thalgrimor against my opponent. My team lineup can be seen at the bottom of the screenshot. While my opponent came with six monsters, I only used five monsters. However strategy matters more than numbers.

That is why in the screenshot you can see that by the second round the battle was already three versus five in my favor. The amazing part was that none of my monsters had died at that point.

In the screenshot below you can see the final round where it was four versus one, which clearly shows that the victory was already secured. I was very happy to win the battle after returning from a short break from Splinterlands.

Now I want to talk about a monster that I used in this battle which only costs 3 mana. The reason I am mentioning this monster is because many players might ignore it due to its low mana cost. However sometimes these monsters act as bait for the opponent so that your stronger monsters can perform better.

That is exactly what happened in the battle that I shared above. So make sure you also use low mana cost monsters because they can be very useful in the right situation.

The name of the monster is IronWing Juggernaut. Even though it only costs 3 mana, it is a monster that I often use, especially when it can still contribute to attacks and support the overall strategy.
