Splinterlands - Opening 10 Foundation Chests, Won 2 Gold Foil and 2 Epic Cards but Still Chasing That Last Legendary!

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

Today, I am going to share another set of pack openings from Splinterlands. This time, we are opening 10 Foundation chest boxes at once and hoping to win a legendary card or a gold foil legendary or epic card, because those are the most precious cards for me at this point in time.

By the way, there is only one legendary card left that I need to win from the Foundation deck, and I hope I can get it someday.

In the screenshot below, you can see that all 10 chest boxes were ready to be opened, and we just had to flip them. I was really hoping for something big.

In the next screenshot, you can see all the cards I won. Again, I have to say that I am not completely happy with the openings. Even though I won some rare cards, 2 epic cards, and 2 gold foil cards, I was still expecting at least one legendary card for myself. But anyway, what is delivered is delivered, and I have to accept it.

Below, you can see both the gold foil cards I won. Both of them are from the common category, and they are cards that I use regularly. So even though they are common cards, I am happy to own them in gold foil.

In the next screenshot, you can see the first epic card I won. I actually need this card to max it out fully, so I am happy to get it.

The second epic card is also shown below. This card belongs to the Earth element. I usually prefer using ranged and melee attack monsters from that element, but recently I have started using this monster as well. I am planning to max it out and use it in battles more often.

As you all know, I recently participated in the free sale Escalation packs and won some Escalation pack monsters. I have been playing in Modern battle mode, and I must say I am doing quite well because of the monsters I received from those pack openings.

In the screenshots below, you can see a battle I won today. I only used four monsters on my team, while my opponent used six. But it is not about the number of monsters, it is about strategy.

My first monster was a strong defender with 7 armor and 9 health, which makes it very solid for the front position. The monster is Doom Shield Warden.

It comes with the Flank ability, which gives the second position monster the Reach ability. This means the monster in the second position can attack even if it does not normally have Reach.

I placed Great Bear Druid in the second position, and it is at max level. It deals two melee damage and one magic damage, which helped a lot in the battle.

In the final round screenshot, you can see that I almost saved all my cards and delivered the final blow to win the battle. The defender from the Escalation pack is really strong and difficult to defeat.

That is how my Glint battle went, and I earned 81 Glint for winning that match.

In screenshot below, you can see the rewards for getting promoted in the Modern league. I also won a rare card there, so overall it was a good day for me.

Lastly, I want to share the Glint shop. I currently have a few Glints, and I am confused about whether I should directly buy common and rare cards or try my luck with Minor and Major chests instead.

If anyone has experience opening those chests, please let me know in the comments whether I should go for the chests or buy the cards directly.

Now let us take a look at the terracore base and in the screenshot below, you can see that we have used attacks and total attacks used today are 8 and we won 1700 scraps approximately. That is how the attacks should go every time so that I can be happy.

In the screenshot below you can see that in our golem overlord base we won quite less. It is because of the penalty on our base.
