My New Year Resolutions for 2026 - Restarting Gold Investment, Learning Generative AI, and More

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

The first week of the new year is already coming to an end. I am not talking in terms of Monday to Sunday, but in terms of the number of days that have passed. Six days are already gone, and after one more day, the first week of the year will be over.

As the week is about to end, many people have already set their resolutions and started working on them. In this blog, I am going to share what I want to achieve this year and how I am planning to reach the resolutions I have recently set.

The very first thing I have decided is to start investing in gold once again. I actually stopped investing in gold back in October 2025 because gold prices were skyrocketing, so I decided to stop my DCA.

I am someone who had been practicing DCA in gold for a long time, but now I think I should start again, no matter what the price is. That is the whole point of DCA. You buy a fixed amount of an asset daily, weekly, or monthly.

This is exactly what I am planning to do. This investment is for my future generation. I am not going to look at it for at least the next 20 years. Maybe once my son or daughter grows up, I will let them decide what they want to do with the gold.

The second thing I have decided is to learn new skills and study new courses. I have already started a course today on generative AI and generative models.

In this course, I am learning about neural networks, how LLMs work, and the difference between deep learning and generative AI. I am really enjoying this course so far, and I feel it is going to be very informative and helpful for me.

Another important thing I want to work on is controlling my emotions, especially when it comes to the market. Last year, I failed to do that. When the market was at its peak, I wanted to sell, but greed and emotions stopped me from doing so.

Because of that, I am now sitting at around 60-70% loss from my peak portfolio value. It is okay, because life is all about learning. This year, I will make sure not to get carried away by emotions, especially greed. I will try my best to sell at the right time using proper indicators, and hopefully, I will not repeat the same mistake again.

Lastly, I want to start my coaching institute in the month of March. This is something I have been planning for more than a year, but I never took the first step to try and see if students would actually come for tuition.

I am very interested in teaching mathematics, so that is what I plan to do. March is the right time because students usually move to the next class or start a new course during that period. So I am planning to begin then.

These are my resolutions for this year. I am happy that I have already started planning and working on some of them. What I truly hope is that by the end of this year, I will be able to write another post saying that I successfully achieved all these resolutions.

The screenshot below is from my terracore base where I have 5 attacks and they did went decently good as I expected and we also won close to 700 scraps in total.

Below you can see my golem overlord base and there I am looking good as the base is doing great and the next thing I did was using my attacks from the base.

The results were not so appealing this time and the shards were decently won but the parts were a little less.

That is all I did in Golem and terracore base today.
