Is Alt Season Over Forever? The Truth About Altcoins in This Cycle

Why are altcoins not performing well in the current crypto market cycle? One of the most obvious reasons people give is that the alt season has not arrived yet. But is that actually the reality? Or should we accept that the so called alt season might not come anymore?
Some people say that the market has matured. But what is the logic behind calling the market mature when altcoins are crashing week after week and month after month?
If the market were truly mature, we would expect altcoins not to pump crazily like they did in the past, but also not to dump crazily like they used to. However, what we are seeing right now is that most altcoins are dumping heavily.
The reason is not just market maturity, but also the overcrowding in the altcoin space. Earlier, for example, if there were 10 altcoins and you had to select three top-tier projects, the choice was limited. Now, you have to choose from thousands of altcoins. Every day, every hour, new projects are being launched. Someone is always introducing a new token into the market.
Because of this massive increase in supply, it has become much more difficult for altcoins to perform well. Liquidity is constantly being distributed across thousands of projects.
It is not about the market stabilizing. it is about continuous expansion and fragmentation. As a result, even good projects struggle to survive simply because they are part of the overcrowded altcoin market.
That is why many altcoins are dumping heavily, and liquidity is not flowing into strong projects the way it used to. I honestly doubt whether we will see the same kind of alt season that we experienced in previous cycles.
In fact, I believe we will not see that same explosive alt season again not only because of market maturity, but also because of the extreme crowding in the space.
