A Hard Lesson About Life and Losing People We Love

How are you all? I hope everyone is fine and doing great in their life.

Last few days have been very difficult for me and my family because we witnessed two losses of life. One was the elder sister of my grandmother and the other was the best friend of my father who passed away recently. These two events were heartbreaking and while they brought a lot of pain, they also taught us some very important lessons.

The reality of life is that we do not value people when they are still with us. When we have the time to talk to them and be with them, we do not use that time. I saw how people were running to attend the funeral and to see the bodies that could not speak anymore, while when these people were alive, many of them did not even care to call or visit.

As human beings, somewhere we have failed. We may earn a lot, we may buy expensive cars, we may own big houses, but as a father, as a son, as a neighbour, and as a human being, we are losing the real purpose of life.

Most people today think about improving their life only in terms of money and comfort. Relationships are coming last in their list of priorities. This is why we even see situations where children do not attend the funerals of their own parents.

I remember a situation where a father passed away and his son was working outside the country. He refused to come back because he said he did not have time. What can be more heartbreaking than not having time for your own father, even for his final goodbye.

But if he was never present when his father was alive, then there was no point in coming only to say goodbye at the end.

This is what is happening in the world today. Some people may feel hurt when I say this but the modern culture and the western lifestyle have influenced a lot of what we see around us. We are slowly losing the real values of life.

Value your loved ones because once they are gone, you will never see them again in this world. The only thing that stays with you is regret. I hope I am also able to follow what I am writing in this blog.

I usually do not write about things like this because my blogs are normally related to games and the crypto market, but today I felt the need to express these thoughts. So I wrote them.
