Hello friends @indiaunited community,i am glad to be here again and to take part in this great and inspiring contest.

Theme: Do you consider yourself fit/healthy ?

The theme is really motivating and it has help me to reflect on my health status.

Truthfully over the years i have been struggling to keep fit and to maintain fitness but i couldn't do it due to the responsibilities of motherhood.
I remembered when i was single without kids, keeping fit was always my motivation, apart from the health benefits,it was one thing i could do for a positive mood and a positive mindset,i enjoyed every bit of it and i had excess time to make it happen.

***Here are the few exercises i engaged in ***
Cycling
I had love riding bicycle,i would pick up my bicycle just to ride
I could do that for two hours and when i was through
I felt relaxed and refresh.

Swimming
In my area,we are blessed with streams,i usually go there to swim when ever i visited my grandmother,it was usually fun and exciting and i missed those golden days.

My hindrances towards fitness

Since i started having kids i have been so discouraged to keep fit,not intentionally but due to stress and lack of time, sometimes i feel i have run out of time in eating healthy.
I hardly have time for myself let alone exercising
The little time i have as a mum is to rest
I try as much as possible to rest after a long period of duties.

I know keeping fit is an healthy practice and keeping fit helps us to be fit and healthy both mentally and physically.
But my greatest challenge has been motherhood responsibilities trying to balance my work life and family hasn't been easy.

So i would say,i haven't been intentional about keeping fit,but this week's theme has really helped me in reflecting more about my health and i choose to be intentional from now on about keeping fit.
I know i should prioritise my health despite my busy schedules as a mother so here are some plans for effective fitness life style.

Strategies to keep fit

  • I guess I'll start with some exercises that is really interesting for me,exercise like cycling and swimming.
  • Secondly i will need to adjust my time to suit my fitness time
  • I should also be intentional about eating healthy.
  • Lastly i will need to be intentional about my health.
    With such mindset i am sure it will be possible to maintain a healthy/fitness lifestyle.
