Success Is Beyond Wealth And Possessions

While many people in our society today would likely measure success by the amount of wealth they have accumulated, I for one believe that success goes far beyond material possessions or financial achievements. Personally I feel true success is multifaceted and covers different aspects of the human life, like our personal growth, feeling fulfilled, and also the impact we make in the lives of others.

People attach or measure success by wealth because it's visible; it's what they can see. But we all know people who are wealthy; they have so much money that they can afford whatever their heart desires in this world—but aren't necessarily happy.

I watched a short video of a billionaire some time ago who said he was so focused on being wealthy in his youthful days that he lost his sense of purpose, and now that he is wealthy, he isn't happy; he feels like something is missing in him. Some of the wealthiest individuals in the world struggle with loneliness, dissatisfaction, or a lack of meaning in their lives; we see this in movies we watch. This is because success isn’t just about what you own or have accumulated; success is more about who you are, how happy and fulfilled you are, what you contribute to people or the world, and how you live.

For me, I would define success as being able to make a positive impact in the lives of people and the world at large. This could be by helping others, maybe through philanthropy, sharing your knowledge with others, or even creating something that would inspire change in your community or even the world at large. Success is beyond material wealth and possession. It’s about leaving a legacy that would be appreciated even after you are gone.

I would also define success by having inner peace or being able to achieve a lifelong dream or goal. Success could also mean building and having a happy family. Success has nothing to do with the expectations of the society but with pursuing what truly matters to us.

In the end success is about finding joy in this journey called life.

I absolutely agree with what you're saying in your post, and I would add a quote that's attributed to several different people: "Some people are so poor, all they have is money."

It's difficult to contemplate the deeper meaning of life, art, and philosophy when you're constantly worried about basic necessities like food, shelter, and financial stability.

Success means a lot of things to a lot of people. The key factor is the peace and joy it brings.
