and that was the end of pet in my compound...
Having a pet is one thing that I have never considered before and I don't even find it interesting having one. One of the pet that I dislike keeping around , I don't even like anybody staying around me to keep it is dog. I have people who love it so much, but I don't. I can remember when I was much younger, my landlady had a dog and I never liked the experience, because the dog will poo everywhere and I hate such with passion , also the fear for dog bite didn't always allow me get closer to the dog.
About 3 years ago, my neighbor decided to keep a cat as a pet, although I like cat a bit, I prefer it to dog, but keeping it at home didn't really go well with me, but I had no choice. The cat was friendly with everyone till it grew and started behaving somehow. When it was young, it will always go out to a nearby bush to poo , but all of a sudden reverse was the case. The painful part of the pet stuff that made my neighbor gave it out was that the cat started getting inside their kitchen to be stealing fish, and other food. You dare not drop any food stuff outside, the cat will divour it. And normally, a cat is supposed to be chasing rat, but this particular cat was so so lazy . At time you will see the cat laying down and just observing the rat running around.
My called it a liability. One day she called her friend to come take it , go kill and make pepper soup 🤣. So the first day they tried covering it inside a basket but the cat ran out and came back the following day. We prepared a very strong bag, kept it on the floor with the mouth wide open and some parts of fish inside. After setting that trap for the cat, we pretended as if we were not looking into that direction, and the cat strolled inside the bag to eat what was inside, while he was still eating, we slowly close the bag , tie it very well and handed it over to the person that was supposed to go with it, that was the end of a pet in my compound.
