When it comes to things that relate to finances, it's expected that concrete decisions are made preferably in a neutral emotional state. Some decisions taken when you are so happy or so angry "may" turn out to be regretted. Even aside from finances, I have experience regrets at some point in my life over decisions I made when I was angry likewise other people I know and it doesn't always end well but for this post, I will only focus mainly on finances.
Sometime in October last year, one of my husband's colleagues in his place of work had a little misunderstanding with their Boss. It's a private firm, and you know how one-man business can be sometimes. A boss can wake up and decides to fire you even without prior notice. So, this colleague of my husband was given a two-week suspension over his bad attitude at work. After one week of serving the punishment, he got angry, picked up a piece of paper, and wrote his resignation letter. The boss accepted the letter with a good heart and wished him well. The young man in question is a newly married man, who is yet to settle down properly with his new wife by then. When I got the news, I thought he already made plan B for himself not knowing that anger got him that way.
He went in search of other jobs, for weeks and months, but all his effort proved abortive. I really pitied his new wife the day I saw her because only her look was showing the suffering. They were living on their savings all the while the young guy has been out of a job. The struggle hasn't been easy and Nigeria is not a country you are sure of another job immediately. Then during the festive season, the young guy with his relatives met the boss, pleading for him to accept him back to work. He expressed how remorseful he is over his attitude and how he missed his job. The boss is yet to give him a tangible answer but with the look of things, his chances are slim, I only hope and pray that he gets the job back. I met him two days ago and he told me how he has been hoping for a positive response from his boss. I could feel his anxiety about his present situation.
A lot of people sometimes take uncalculated financial risks just like this young guy. Bad enough if you have only one stream of income. Some situations will warrant that you slow down and think, and consider some things before making your decisions. It could be an investment you heard a good testimony from someone and out of excitement, you jump into it without proper analysis.
In conclusion, there are some financial decisions capable of taking one back to square one, it then becomes important that you shouldn't allow your emotions to cloud your sense of reasoning!

I appreciate the curation π
Thank you so much
Hmm. A word of advice laid out. I really pity the guy oh. He should have thought how the matters would be before making decisions or maybe seeking for advice on what actions to take while he was angry.
I really hope he gets a better job than the one he lost.
Yea....he should have seek for advice unfortunately, he is this kind person that likes keeping many things secret even the ones he should have opened up and get a better advice from others. It's just so sad that this part of his life got him into this unplanned financial stress.
Yay! π€

It seems incredible how many similar cases there are. It is better to stop and think before making such a strong decision, especially if other people depend on that income. Greetings and Blessings!
