When we work in an organization, we do not get enough time for ourselves, our family, and even for the things that we loved to do when we were young. There was a place I used to love when I was a kid. I would visit it every year during summer vacation.

At that time, I used to feel a little sad because most of my friends went to hill stations or beaches for their holidays. But for me, it was just my grandma’s house where I spent every summer vacation.

Initially, when I was a kid, I used to hate it because I also wanted to visit the beautiful hills and beaches like my friends. That was all they used to talk about, and I felt left out. But today, when I look back at life and think about those moments I spent at my grandma’s house, I realize those were the best moments of my life. I do not think I will ever find anything better compared to that.

The thing I miss the most about being there is eating fruits directly from the trees in my grandma’s house. There is a mango tree, a pomegranate tree, a guava tree, and even a papaya tree. I used to eat so many fruits that came straight from the trees, and that feeling was really beautiful. We would wake up in the morning, brush our teeth, and sometimes I would pick a guava to eat right away.

Now that I am grown up and cannot go to the village the way I used to in childhood, I realize that is the most beautiful and comfort giving place to me. This is the reason why I picked this place as my favorite.

One of my biggest dreams is to have a beautiful house in the village where I can stay when I retire, maybe after 10 or 15 years. I am still young and I will work for at least 20 years. But I come from the new generation, and that is why I want to retire early, not after the age of 50.

I want to retire before the age of 40, so that I can live the remaining years of my life doing something I truly love. Away from work and all the tension that comes with it, and only enjoying nature and the simple things I want to do in life.
