Splinterlands - My First Epic Card Win in Splinterlands

Greetings to all the readers here,

When you start playing Splinterlands, you get a chance to win free cards through the campaign mode. In campaign mode, you can earn common, rare, epic, and legendary cards based on the chapter you complete.

Today, I won my very first epic card in the game. This time, it was not from the campaign mode. I won it by completing my daily mission and claiming the daily rewards.

In the screenshot below, you can see the card I won. It is an epic card from the fire element. Even though this card is not worth much in dollar value, I am very happy to own it.

When it comes to gameplay, this card has strong value. I personally use this card in high mana cost battles, and it performs really well in such situations.

I am definitely going to collect more copies of this card so that one day I can level it up and use it in the best possible way.

Now let me share one of the battles I played today. In this battle, I used Aurelia, the earth summoner, against a fire summoner. It turned out to be a very interesting match.

The opponent also used the same epic card that I won today, named Ash Archers, and the battle felt more defensive in nature. In the screenshot below, you can see the battle lineup. Both of us entered the match with 4 monsters each, so it was an equal fight in terms of numbers.

The opponent placed New Belurok Aegis as the first monster. As usual, I took Dread Tafarian, which is my favorite monster from the earth element and a permanent part of my lineup. Since the opponent monster had the Taunt ability, all my monsters attacked it in the first round, which is exactly how Taunt works.

In the screenshot below, you can see round 2, where the battle situation became 3 monsters versus 4 monsters. At this point, I started feeling confident about winning the match.

The main reason was Dread Tafarian, which has the Heal ability. This ability restores 1 third of its maximum health every round, and that is why I always include this card in my team.

In the final round, which you can see in the screenshot below, I managed to secure the victory with 3 of my monsters still alive.

This was the last battle I played today, and it was only after this win that I completed my 5th battle of the day and unlocked the daily rewards. That is when I received my epic card.

I really hope to win more epic and legendary cards in the future, because that is one of my main goals in the game. Before ending this post, I want to share the future potential of the epic card I won.

In the screenshot below, you can see its higher level stats. If I am able to reach the maximum level, which requires 10 cards, the card will have 4 speed and 5 health, while the attack remains 2.

With 4 base speed and an additional plus 1 speed from the summoner, this card can reach 5 speed, which gives it a good chance to dodge enemy attacks. Because of this, I believe this card has strong long term potential and is definitely worth collecting.

That is all I did in Splinterlands today.

Thank you
