Greetings to all the readers here,
Today in Splinterlands, I explored a section of the game that I had never visited before. This section is called the Conflict Section.
While exploring it, I noticed that there is an event currently going on where players can get a chance to own a new card, which is most likely a summoner named Captain Frankie.
As you can see in the screenshot below, this card is going to be unlocked after 24 hours.

When I clicked on the enter option, a story started playing. The story was about a battle between 2 different sects, and I went through it completely. You can see one of the screenshot from the story below.

After the story ended, a new page appeared, which you can see in the screenshot below. After reading the details carefully, I realized that I am actually not eligible to participate in this event.
The reason is that there are certain points required, and mine were showing as zero. From what I understood, if you own 100000 points, which I believe is collection power, then you can participate in the draw to try and win Captain Frankie.

Sadly, I am not eligible for this event, but I really hope that the players who are participating are able to get Captain Frankie. It looks like an interesting card.
After that, I searched for a ranked battle, as you can see in the screenshot below. Today, it took quite a lot of time before I finally found an opponent.
Even after finding one, I was given an instant victory because the opponent did not enter the battle arena, and my monsters won the match automatically.

I then searched for another battle, and this time I was matched against a player who clearly had more experience than me. I could see that his rating was higher than mine.
Below, you can see the battle lineup for both teams. My team is shown below, and the opponent team is shown above. Both of us selected Thalgrimor as our summoner.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake while placing my cards. I placed New Beluroc Aegis in the first position.
Since this card has the Taunt ability, it was going to be targeted by all enemy units anyway. Because of this, placing it in the first position did not make sense, and that mistake cost me the battle.
As the rounds progressed, I could already see the loss coming. In one of the later rounds, the battle was at 5 monsters versus 5 monsters, but the situation was clearly not in my favor.

In the final screenshot below, you can see the last round where I was left with only 1 card, while the opponent still had 3 cards remaining. This time, it was simply not my day. The better player won the battle, but I learned a lot from this match.

One card from the opponent team really caught my attention. Her name is Little Sister, and she has the Life Leech ability. This ability increases both current health and maximum health by 50 percent of the damage dealt in each round. Because of this, the card started with only 3 health, but in the final screenshot, you can see that her health had increased to 5.

I really liked this ability, and I am definitely going to consider using this card in my future battles.
That is all for today. I learned something new from the Conflict Section and also from this battle. I will be back soon with more Splinterlands posts for all of you.
