Recently, my uncle visited us and shared his investment experience from a few years ago. He invested in land in 2022, so it has been three years, and he was really happy because the value of the land increased. I asked him about his gain, and he told me that there was a 50% increase on the initial price.
This does not include the registry charges, so after deducting them, the actual profit would be around 40-45%. I listened carefully and, of course, I am not against buying land since it is one of the safest assets in the world. But then I compared it with my own investment over the last three years.
I invested in Bitcoin when it was priced at $20,000 and started selling it when it reached $90,000. I do not remember the exact price, but I think I sold everything between $90,000 and $100,000. So my gains were approximately 300%, which is much higher than the gains my uncle earned from land. In the same time, I earned almost 6X than him.
I am not here to say anything against buying land, but if you are smart and invest at the right time, Bitcoin can give the best long-term returns. For example, if in the next year you start buying Bitcoin regularly when the price drops below $50,000 or $60,000, then by the next bull cycle, Bitcoin could easily give 3-4X the investment.
Even if it reaches $120,000 in the next bull cycle again, an investment at $60,000 will still give a 100% return, and that does not include any extra fees like registry charges, which you would face with land.
For people looking beyond Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Dogecoin, BNB, and others also have the potential for high returns. I have focused on Bitcoin because it is the parent of all cryptocurrencies and my personal investment experience has already multiplied several times. So while owning land is a safe option, if your goal is massive gains and wealth creation, Bitcoin is the currency to consider.
Another plus point of investing in Bitcoin is that you do not need a large amount of money. You can start with $100, $200, or any amount you are comfortable with. Unlike land, where you must invest a fixed large amount, Bitcoin gives flexibility in investment. This is another strong reason why owning Bitcoin can be a better option.

I think this is a matter of timing and opportunity. Buying a land that has chances of appreciation is always welcomed in my opinion, just not buy land everywhere just hoping for it to go up. I've experienced x10 or x20 returns on buying land and it is way less volatile than crypto.
