Sometimes real life incidents that come across us teach us bigger lessons of life. Even if they are small instances, whatever we witness teaches something really important.

Recently, my husband told me about a man, an old man, who died in his house. His body was actually deteriorating, and rats started to eat the body.

Once the neighbors realized that something was wrong and there was a bad smell coming from the house, they called the police. When the police arrived, they discovered that the old man had already passed away.

The question is, why was no one able to know about his death? The reason was that he was living alone in that house. His wife had died a long time ago, and he lived all alone in a two story building.

When I asked my dad about where the children or grandchildren of this man were, because he was quite old, I came to know that they were all settled in America.

They had gone there for education and were living their lives happily. Sadly, they were not bothered about their father and grandfather, and that is why he was left all alone during his last days.

I want to ask the people who are reading this, do you really think that money and life changing decisions, like moving from one country to another, are justified.

If it means leaving your parents behind, especially when they are not ready to come with you?

Do you not think you should try your level best to convince them and take them with you so that they are not left alone and do not end up saying goodbye to this world in such a painful way, like in the case of this old man?

I was really heartbroken after knowing about this incident. I truly hope that my son, no matter how rich or famous he becomes, will stay with me.

And if not, at least he will take me and my husband with him wherever he goes.

What I have been taught by teachers and elders is that children are assets we build for the future. If these assets are not with us, then there is no real meaning.

Money is not enough for anyone. Money cannot replace the importance of a person, whether it is a son, a wife, or anyone else. This incident was really heartbreaking.

To all the readers here, I would like to say, please take care of your parents, value them, and spend time with them.

If they are left alone somewhere because you have moved to a different city, at least make it a habit to call them every day so that they do not end up hiding things from you.

In the case of this old man, it feels like no one was calling him and he was completely disconnected from his family, and that is the reason he died alone like that.
