To deal with day to day expenses, we often think about saving money in different ways.

I am a housewife, and you already know this from my blogs. I am learning calligraphy and I teach a few students, but I am not a full time teacher. I teach part time, purely out of passion.

As a housewife, I try my best to save the money that my husband brings home.

For this, we have followed a few practices over the past four years of our marriage.

By the way, this August we will complete five years of marriage, thanks to the Almighty, and hopefully spend many more years together.

What my husband used to do was give me 15% of his salary every month. I could use this money in any way I wanted.

From that amount, I saved a part and spent the rest on my personal needs. Even though saving 15% every month may sound small, it actually helped us a lot.

I clearly remember the time of my delivery when I was expecting my son. Our expenses crossed ₹1 lakh, which is a big amount for any middle class family.

But because of the money I had saved, we were able to manage everything without stress. Thankfully, everything went well, and it did not feel like a burden at all.

This is one practice I still follow. I save money every month. The second thing we do is save money for our son.

We have a gulak, which is a piggy bank, where we keep all the money that our son receives from relatives, parents, and visitors.

This way, we are saving for his future, so that when he grows up, this money can be given to him.

Apart from this, I also try to invest in jewellery, although I have not done so recently because gold and silver prices are currently at their peak.

Jewellery is another good way of saving money, especially when it is gold or silver, as its value increases over time.

However, if you buy very small quantities like 1 gram or 2 grams, you may not see much benefit because of making charges.

It is better to buy jewellery with simple designs so that you get better value when you sell it later.

Another option is buying gold coins, as they come in high purity and can be sold easily when prices go up.

I have not practiced this yet, but I have thought about it for a long time. Maybe after participating in this contest, I will seriously consider buying gold coins whenever possible.

Lastly, we are also part of a committee group. In this system, 10 people deposit a fixed amount every month, and the total amount goes to one person each month.

This continues for 10 months. I believe most people in India are familiar with this concept. This method has also helped us save money in a disciplined way.

In my golem overlord profile we were able to make on time as you can see below. We are having shards visible with part tokens so let us use the attacks before its too late.

I left only 10 attacks today and the results to which can be seen above already.
