Geopolitics vs Market - What People Don’t Understand
Assalamu Alaikum
There has been manipulation going on in the market, even though I am not a crypto, technical, or fundamental expert.
By now, everyone knows that geopolitical tensions are the reason why the market is fluctuating a lot.
Even common people now understand that the market moves depending on what is happening in the world, especially when it comes to gold.
In my country, I can see people becoming aware of how geopolitical tension actually creates an impact on gold and why gold was continuously rising for quite some time and then suddenly crashed.
Now, even though a lot of people have started to understand this, I think this is a negative thing in the long run.
People now believe that they are very educated, but I can say that it is something which is not our cup of tea.
Even if we understand that geopolitical tensions and different decisions taken by countries impact the market, it is not only about what they do.
It is also about the technical aspects behind the charts, which is something 90% of traders do not know how to read today.
I was reading somewhere that only a very small percentage, around 1-2% of people, actually earn money in the crypto market from trading.
Even in the long run, only a few people earn good money. The rest, most of the people who are known as retailers, suffer losses, whether small or big, but they do face losses in the long run.
So what do we understand from this scenario? While people are not going to stop trading, no matter what they know about trading or long term holding, the smart move should depend on the skills a person actually has.
If you are skilled enough to handle the pressure of the market, then you can go ahead and trade and try to earn something.
But if you are not educated enough to understand how all these things work, then the best option is to stay away.
At most, if you still want to do something, you can consider long term holding.
To be honest, I have been a long term holder, and my experience was really bad, maybe because I did not choose Bitcoin and instead chose altcoins over some top tier tokens.
But in the future, if I have to go for long term holding again, I will definitely choose between Bitcoin, Ethereum, or BNB.
These are the only three tokens I would consider because they have been among the most well performing tokens historically.
