My Saving And Spending Strategy With HBD
HBD is the strongest token I know on Hive Blockchain due to its stability and use case. Its use case is not just on the Blockchain alone but also in real life situations, talking about the @spendhbd initiative where you shop and spend $HBD. I'd on many occasions shopped with it and enjoyed cashback bonuses. I must say it's one of the sweetest parts of the token, and the biggest reason I fell in love with Hive, lol. After all, who doesn't like discounts!
Another juicy part is the HBD savings with an APR of 15% then (now 14%), this was another reason that got me attracted to Hive Blockchain. Imagine knowing that part of your earnings comes in HBD which is equivalent to 1 USD, which is also a stronghold of the Hive Blockchain. Not until it was stopped being used as a means of posts payout, for whatever reasons.
Anyways, with that being said, before the Blockchain stopped using HBD as a post payout, I used to save a percentage of my earnings on HBD on a weekly basis. But I can't do that now, since it will require more Hive than it used to be, which I can't afford to spare because I usually need it for my monthly power up. While I save some, I swap some to $Hive and power up. I do the same on some other tokens like $Alive, $Leo and some other valuable ones too.
Coming to now, my sad reality is that I no longer have any $HBD left. When post payments stopped with HBD, I converted the ones I had saved to Hive due to speculations of what would become of the token should the 15% APR be withdrawn, because that's what attracts users to save the token. Due to the fact that the price of Hive has drastically dropped to what it is now. So, as the price of Hive kept dropping, I seized the opportunity to do DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging). Buying Hive as little as I can.
In a nutshell, I save HBD (when I have), spend, on and off the Blockchain because, of course, it's a stable token and utility too. I sometimes swap it to other promising tokens in the Blockchain too. That's my strategy.

I'd say HBD is what makes Hive blockchain thick and it has many use cases. Unfortunately, everything about it is now on hold.
