When One Movie Feels Like Home

I have a lot of favorite movies, both series and normal movies. In fact, I am currently watching one again even though I have seen it before, but coming across this prompt and reading through it, none but the movie called The Pursuit of Happyness came to my mind. It was not an adventurous movie, but for me, it feels so real because it talked about the real life struggle of a man who did everything possible to keep hope alive for his kid, and this is something I can see her in my country.

Even though this movie was produced as far back as 2006, seeing it made me realize the unseen struggles that our parents usually face, the early morning waking up, the rejection, the struggle, and they still choose to smile to us . They endure the silent pains, but they show us their massive love, and the way they usually balance things out is incredibly touching to me.

I saw multiple scenes from that movie that really stayed glued to my mind, but the one I will always remember is the one where the main actor and his son had no choice to sleep in a public toilet, covering his tears. And this experience from that scene reminds me of the situation where people or even family only shows their laughing face and hide their pains inside. In my culture, I think that is one of the things people also do. They tend to keep what they are passing through from the rest of the world.

This movie taught me a lot of things that so far what we are chasing has not reached our hands it does not mean that it will not happen, because failure is not the end of everything, and that having dignity in everything we do is not about having a rich pocket, but so far we keep pursuing after that thing we want with purpose and faith, it will surely happen. Unlike a lot of people always wanting the fast money or success, this movie also taught me that there is dignity in patience and giving respect to the struggles of others.

However, whenever I feel like giving up, I always remember this movie because I see the importance of struggles, endurance and how things can change for the best with consistency. This movie entertained me and at the same time, I learned the truth and the reality of life from it.
