When Life Suddenly Happens: My Quiet Plan for an Emergency Fund

If I am being right here, this life has shown us a lot of things, and the bitter truth is that this life we live in will never send us any notice before it deals with us because life is unpredictable and full of surprises. One moment, you are less worried, and just a moment after, a situation that we did not plan for knocks on the door and stares at us in the eyes. And this is why I usually have this idea of emergency funds at the back of my mind, not that I have all the money in this world, but I hate to be embarrassed, and I do not like the idea of asking people for money. I don't dopass myself.

My plan is not that complex, and that is why I keep my emergency funds like I owe someone and I am saving to pay up. Recently, I have stopped the emotional spending and guiding out of money. At the end of every week, I remove some certain amount into another savings depending on how my spirit works, and then I lock the account so that I even sometimes forget that I have such an account. Because if I see it always, I can easily spend it. I know myself.

Then I also have a policy of giving out that particular account to those owing me money, or if I am expecting a cash gift, that is where everything goes, and I like it that way. And this is how I have been able to handle those emergency situations. To be honest, that feels better than having to call a friend and getting turned down.

And it does not mean that I am rich or something; I just respect myself, that's why, because in my country where the prices of things can change overnight and brothers and sisters can call to borrow some money, having a backup like that is something good for me.

My plans might not look that big, but I am sure that they are steady. And to be sincere, it has been helping me for a while now.
