Hello Hive Fam
Good day to you all, and I hope you're having a good time wherever you are.
These days in India, a big controversy is there and it's about petrol. Basically Indian government has made it mandatory for all fuel pumps to sell e20 fuel which is like 20% ethanol mixed petrol. Earlier this was planned for 2030 but all of sudden the petroleum ministry has done it so early.

Because of this change many petrol vehicles are impacted because the engines are not compatible with e20 petrol. Mileage has dropped and also the engine acceleration is impacted while engine parts are also getting damaged. There's a lot of noise in public because of the and the government is not ready to acknowledge this problem.
As per the government it's fine to use e20 petrol on old vehicle also which are not e20 compatible but they're are not able to share any report related to this and even as per court this is just an experiment however the government is taking different route.
Although my car is e20 compatible but I have bike also which is old model and I am worried about it. Some of my friends have also reported that they observed drop on mileage and engine performance which could be because of petrol change. The concern is that the government is not ready to provide e20 as an option rather they have made it mandatory for everyone to buy this only and if someone wants to buy pure petrol then it's xp100 which is very expensive and also not available at all fuel stations. In this situation, it's really difficult for a lot of people because it's not possible for everyone to buy e20 compatible vehicle and for whatever reasons the government is not ready to understand common man problems.
I hope the debate and controversy brings some positive outcomes because some of the leaders and parties have taken this matter aggressively but let's see whether does this end. Thank you.
