My Honest Take On This Topic
From my own perspective, I define comfort as a sacred peace, an undefiled state of mind filled with uninterrupted moments that radiate inner joy. I enjoy such comfort in the presence of God.

Growing up as a child, I was born into a dedicated Christian home. My Dad, a Deacon in the church, while my mother is among the women leaders in the church. That made us dedicated Christians. We attend all the weekly service activities and belong to different wings of the church. We bonded with all the priests in the vineyard, and often, we would spend our evening around the sanctuary, plucking fruit and playing around the compound. Being an orthodox setting, we entered the sanctuary to our seats once the bell rang and joined in the solemn worship and service.

The Things I Do For My Comfort
As an adult, I found myself visiting the sanctuary for a quiet time and solemn worship. I have a small corner where I will always go and pray. I will spend time reading and meditating on my journey and service to God and humanity. I have also built a relationship with the priests and other functionaries with whom I will exchange pleasantries, chat, laugh and call it a day.

I always feel very light, happy and excited on each visit. I feel my burdens rolled away and rejuvenated. I regain lost strength and vigour to move on with my set goals, I am refilled and recharged for the next day.

However, beyond the sanctuary is my family, who have also gotten infested with the sanctuary. Apart from spending quality time in the comfort of our home, sharing each other's burden and giving a shoulder to lean on, I have people around me with whom I cherish their company. This is because I found comfort and peace staying around them. I also feel a sense of belonging around them. For me, this is what a place of comfort should be.

In conclusion, while some people may find comfort in visiting bars, partying, going on vacation, hiking or visiting the beach, my place of comfort is in the sanctuary. This is because I get assurance, recharged and elated to keep pressing towards my set goals.
