Life Is A Choice; It May Not Be Perfect Either Way

πŸ’ž If You Had a Choice, Would You Stay Single or Be in a Relationship? πŸ’ž

Hello #indiaunited friends, TGIF I welcome you to my blog.
Growing up, we always had people we looked up to, such as our mentors. They can be our parents, relatives, neighbours, or even somebody in our workplace. We admire their way of doing things, and as such, we begin to wish and dream of becoming like them someday and unconsciously tilt towards their way of living. This kind of scenario influences our lifestyles and decisions as humans. I believe it is one of the reasons for the popular saying, β€œshow me your friend and I will tell you the kind of person you are.

The lifestyle of my parents had a major impact on me, and while in our neighbourhood, too, we have couples that always quarrel and physically fight each other. Most often, my siblings and I will be thanking God that our parents aren’t living in a toxic relationship and wish to settle down one day in such a relationship. Sometimes, too, when we have chit-chats with the children of these parents who always quarrel in our neighbourhood, they would wish they had my parents as theirs and wish not to be married or have the kind of relationship their parents have.

Therefore, if I had a choice to choose between being in a relationship and remaining single, I would choose to be in a relationship because I was raised in a loving family where mutual respect, support, and charity are the order of the day. Being in a good and healthy relationship, not just a relationship, meant a lot to me. It is like cooperating effectively, communicating clearly, and living a flexible life where two good heads can provide seamless support to each other, set goals, and achieve those goals through effective planning.

Being single, though it has its benefits and disadvantages, such as quick decision making, managing meagre resources without interference, and freedom. Conversely, there is this feeling of loneliness, boredom, lack of critical analysis, and making wrong decisions because of a lack of scrutiny. Two can pull ideas and resources better than one and achieve greater heights than a single person. I can go on and on.

However, life is not how far but how well; what works for me might not work for another person. Therefore, we have to look before we leap when delving into relationships because all that glitters is not gold.
