Install Ubuntu 26.04 LTS on MAC VMware Fusion

Hello friends, in the previous blog, we learned how to download and install VMware Fusion on Mac, and after that, we also learned how to download and Configure Ubuntu 26.04 for installation on VMware Fusion. In this blog, we are going to learn how to install Ubuntu 26.04 LTS on a Mac VMware Fusion.

Ubuntu installation on VMware Fusion

  1. After configuring Ubuntu 26.04 for installation on VMware Fusion. Now, click the play button to start the virtual machine.

  2. Here, select Try on Install Ubuntu and press enter.

  3. It will start loading for the installtion, if want to switch the cursor host to a virtual machine or a virtual machine to the host, press Control + Command key.

  4. Now, choose the language and click on Next.

  5. Here, just click on Next.

  6. Now, select your keyboard layout and click Next.

  7. Connect to the internet, select Use wired connection, and click on Next

  8. Here, we are going to install Ubuntu, select Install Ubuntu, and click Next.

  9. How would you like to install Ubuntu? Select Interactive installation and click Next.

  10. Here, select the Default selection and click Next.

  11. Install the recommended proprietary software, select both of them, and click Next.

  12. How do you want to install Ubuntu? Select Erase disk and install Ubuntu, and click Next.

  13. Encryption and file system - Here, if you want to make the OS more secure, select Encrypt with passphrase and set a minimum of 8 digits of mixed password, or if you don't want to encrypt, select No encryption and click Next.

  14. Create your account - Here, set Your name, Your computer's name, Your username, set a minimum of 4-digit Password, and re-enter the same Password, and click Next.

  15. Select your timezone- it will auto-detect your Location and Timezone. If you want, you can also manually set your Location and Timezone and click Next.

  16. Ready to install- click on Install.

  17. Here, it will take some time in the installation.

  18. Installation completed, and now it's ready to use. Here, you can continue testing, or you can also restart the machine. It's recommended to restart the machine.

  19. After restarting the machine, click on Next.

  20. Here, turn on the Location Services and click Next.

  21. Here, leave it default and click Next.

  22. Now, choose Ubuntu looks - it completely depends on whether you select the default or the Dark one, no you can also change it later, and click Next.

  23. It's the last step, click Finish.
