[EN/PT-BR] Tutorial: HivePosh Project and the use of #gosh

Introduction

Although we love Hive and know that the future of social networks that is truly good for its users is to use a model that is similar to ours, it is still difficult to completely disconnect from web2 networks and therefore, sometimes we still need some support from them.

Thinking about this, a very cool project was created, or resurrected, if we can say so, which was the already known POSH. For those who remember, there were interactions back in the days of Twitter that yielded the POSH token (and some votes, if I'm not mistaken) automatically.

However, due to the change in Twitter's policy (and now X), the amount to use its API and automation became impractical to be paid and so the project cooled down, practically disappearing from the map.

So, if we can't automate, then we will use human and manual effort to continue the project and thus, we can say that there was a “resurgence of the POSH project” and this has been unconditional support on web2 networks.

Some Information

In this way, the project returned not only as POSH, but with a new feature that has been well used: sharing web2 links here on Hive and, with that, requesting support and momentum from the community, thus, the use of the #gosh tag was born!

The objective of this post is to explain in a very simple and quick way how this new way of requesting support from the Hive community works and still being rewarded with some votes from the OCD profile, in addition to a lot of interaction and engagement and possible new contacts, both on Hive and on other web2 social networks.

First of all, I would like to leave the links to the original posts, in which @acidyo created and explained this new phase of the POSH project in more detail. I particularly like to call everything the HivePosh project, so I will use this name to talk about the project.

Remember that this support is focused only on posts that are linked to Hive in some way, so don't ask for support for personal posts or things like that, the focus here is to boost everything related to Hive on web2!

Without further ado, let's get to the explanations!

Sharing Your Own Post

If you make a post on web2 on any social network and that post is related to Hive, you can request support and boost from the community, that is, using #gosh you can ask people here at Hive to appear in that post you want to boost and thus take the necessary actions on them.

What would these actions be? Using X (old Twitter) as an example, it would be to like, RT (retweet) and leave a comment. This is the support and boost you will receive in your web2 network publication.

Ok, so what is the step by step to do this? I'll show you right now!

Step 1:

Let's use as an example the publication of our valuable colleague @funshee. She made a post on X, talking about the @hive-echo initiative and how it was interesting bringing some feedback through @commentrewarder, in addition to talking about how Hive provides value as a web3 platform.

The first thing you have to do is this, create a post on some web2 network and make sure it is related to Hive! Then this post is the one you will want to receive a boost from the Hive community!

Remember to get the link to your post, you will use it soon!

Step 2:

You must go to the HivePosh community page and then go to your Snaps. Below I leave an image showing the community page and where you should click to go to the community Snaps.

Found it complicated? Don't worry, to make it easier for you, you can follow the link below. I already have it saved/favorite in my browser, so I can go straight to the correct page:

Step 3:

With the link to your web2 publication in hand, you must place it in the Snaps of the HivePosh community, as indicated in Step 2. See in our example, that we must place a small comment (I believe it is always good to do this) and essentially use the #gosh.

Just below, you put the link to the publication and in the case of X, there is this integration with PEAKD, which shows the publication, as we can see in the image below:

You must ALWAYS put the link to your publication! Screenshots will not be accepted!
If possible, also include the social network it is coming from, for example #gosh #instagram or #gosh #publish0x, this helps with identification.

Step 4:

Now just wait! Some people will help your post to engage, taking the necessary actions such as liking, RT, commenting, sharing somewhere else, in short, whoever wants to participate and be rewarded too, will do what is necessary to fit the curation rules.

In our example, @yesenia.romero helped to engage and boost X's post that was shared on Hive! Just like many others can do too if they want to participate.

This way, those who shared a link and those who supported the nominated post are eligible to receive a vote from the OCD profile, so it will be a much higher value than normal for a Snap. Always remember that the votes come from manual curation, so nothing is guaranteed and it may also be that the VP of the accounts is low and, therefore, the votes may not happen.

In any case, I believe that the best thing is to always think about helping to promote Hive on social media first and the financial value that we can receive from this is just a positive consequence that may come later.

Sharing Someone Else's Post

In this case, if you want to share a web2 post that is not yours, there is no problem or special rule, you will do the same as described in the previous topic.

Sharing a post of yours or someone else's means that you want this post to receive a boost and participation from Hive members, so nothing else needs to be done.

Below is an example of our member @saavedraa sharing the link to a post of X made by Hive Argentina. He could share it with anyone else and it would have the same effect, just by putting a brief description and #gosh.

Participating and Supporting Other Publications

Finally, how can I help with other people's publications? If you don't want to grab a link to a web2 post and share it on HivePosh Snaps, you can help by engaging and boosting other posts that have been posted there!

The process is quite simple: when you go to the HivePosh community's Snaps and find a post that you found interesting, you should take all possible actions to help boost that post. I practically explained this at the beginning of the post, but that's what we should do.

For example, I found a snap where @ismeris points to a post made on X and I decided that I want to help engage with that post:

In this case the publication is on X (most publications come from it) so since the link to this post was shared, I click on it and thus go to the X page where the publication is, I leave a like, RT and a comment:

After that, I take a screenshot showing that I did everything (like, RT and comment) and I put it in the Snap that I saw at the beginning (the one that ismeris made) and I put this image, proving that I really participated by doing all the possible actions to boost this publication on X:

On Snaps:

So if I want to help boost a post, I should participate in this way. I can keep an eye on all the Snaps and thus help boost them on their respective web2 social networks.

Ah, but what if it's an Instagram link?

Simple, you like the post, make a comment and then take a screenshot trying to show that you did these two actions and post it on Snaps. Most web2 networks follow this pattern: a like, maybe an RT and a comment, that's it, take a screenshot of that and post it on the snap that contains the link to the web2 post you saw.

Final Considerations

I hope you enjoyed this post. I tried to make it as simple and direct as possible and with that, I hope it can reach a good number of members here at Hive.

I believe that there are many people who still don't know about the HivePosh project and with that, the more people who know, the better to help engage and boost posts that talk about Hive on web2 social networks!

What I always say to my friends is that the more united we can be, the better, the more reach we will have and many more people will be able to know and understand how Hive works and all the advantages and possibilities it has to offer.

Apesar de amarmos a Hive e de sabermos que o futuro das redes sociais que seja verdadeiramente bom para seus usuários é usar um modelo que seja igual ao nosso, ainda é complicado se desligar totalmente das redes da web2 e sendo assim, às vezes ainda precisamos de um certo apoio nelas.

Pensando nisso, um projeto bem legal foi criado, ou ressurgido, se assim podemos dizer, que foi o já conhecido POSH. Para quem se lembra, havia interações na época do Twitter que rendiam o token POSH (e alguns votos, se não me engano) automatizadamente.

Mas, por conta da mudança da política do Twitter (e agora X) o valor para utilizar a sua API e automatização ficou impraticável de ser pago e assim, o projeto deu uma esfriada, praticamente sumindo do mapa.

Então, se não podemos automatizar, então vamos utilizar do esforço humano e manual para conseguir dar continuidade no projeto e assim, podemos dizer que houve a “ressurgência do projeto POSH” e isso tem sido um apoio incondicional nas redes web2.

Algumas Informações

Desta forma, o projeto voltou não somente como o POSH, mas com uma novidade que tem sido bem utilizada: o compartilhamento de links da web2 aqui na Hive e, com isso, solicitando um apoio e impulso da comunidade, então, assim nasceu a utilização da tag #gosh!

O objetivo dessa postagem é explicar de forma bem simples e rápida como funciona essa nova maneira de solicitar um apoio da comunidade Hive e ainda ser recompensado com alguns votos do perfil da OCD, além de muita interação e engajamento e possíveis novos contatos, tanto na Hive como em outras redes sociais web2.

Em primeiro lugar, gostaria de deixar os links para as postagens originais, no qual o @acidyo criou e nos explicou melhor essa nova fase do projeto POSH. Gosto particularmente de chamar tudo de projeto HivePosh, então vou assumir este nome para falar sobre o projeto.

Compartilhando uma Publicação Própria

Se você fizer uma publicação na web2 em qualquer rede social que seja e essa publicação for relacionada a Hive, você pode solicitar um apoio e impulso da comunidade, ou seja, utilizando a #gosh você pode pedir para que as pessoas aqui da Hive, apareçam nessa postagem que você quer impulsionar e assim, fazer as ações necessárias nelas.

O que seria essas ações? Usando como o exemplo o X (antigo Twitter) seria curtir, realizar o RT (retweet) e deixar um comentário. Este é o apoio e impulso que você irá receber em sua publicação da rede web2.

Ok, então qual é o passo a passo para fazer isso? Vou te mostrar agora isso!

Passo 1:

Vamos utilizar como exemplo, a publicação da nossa valiosa companheira @funshee. Ela realizou uma postagem no X, falando sobre a iniciativa do @hive-echo e como isso foi interessante trazendo algum retorno pelo @commentrewarder, além de falar como a Hive proporciona valor como plataforma web3.

A primeira coisa que você tem que fazer é essa, criar uma postagem em alguma rede web2 e que ela seja relacionada com a Hive! Então essa postagem é a que você vai querer receber um impulso da comunidade Hive!

Lembre-se de pegar o link para a sua publicação, você irá utilizar ele em breve!

Passo 2:

Você deve ir na página da comunidade HivePosh e depois ir em seus Snaps. Abaixo eu deixo uma imagem mostrando a página da comunidade e onde fica o lugar que você deve clicar para ir para os Snaps da comunidade.

Passo 3:

Com o link da sua publicação web2 em mãos, você deve colocar ele nos Snaps da comunidade HivePosh, como indicado no Passo 2. Veja no nosso exemplo, que devemos colocar um pequeno comentário (acredito que é sempre bom fazer isso) e essencialmente usar a #gosh.

Logo abaixo, você coloca o link da publicação e no caso do X, existe essa integração com o PEAKD, que mostram a publicação, como podemos observar na imagem abaixo:

Você deve SEMPRE colocar o link da sua publicação! Captura de tela não será aceita!

Se possível, coloque também de qual rede social está vindo, por exemplo #gosh #instagram ou #gosh #publish0x, isso ajuda na identificação.

Passo 4:

Agora é só esperar! Algumas pessoas irão ajudar sua publicação a engajar, fazendo as ações necessárias como curtir, RT, comentar, compartilhar em algum outro lugar, enfim quem quiser participar e ser recompensado também, irá fazer o que é preciso para poder se encaixar as regras da curação.

Neste nosso exemplo, @yesenia.romero ajudou a engajar e impulsionar o post do X que foi compartilhado na Hive! Assim como muitos outros podem fazer também caso queiram participar.

Desta forma, quem compartilhou um link e quem apoiou a postagem indicada ficam aptos a receber um voto do perfil da OCD, então será um valor bem maior do que o normal para um Snap. Lembrando sempre que os votos são oriundos de uma curação manual, então nada é garantido e também pode ser que o VP das contas esteja baixo e, por isso, os votos podem não acontecer.

De qualquer forma, acredito que o melhor é sempre pensar em ajudar primeiro na divulgação da Hive pelas redes sociais e o valor financeiro que podemos receber disso é somente uma consequência positiva que pode vir depois.

Compartilhando uma Publicação de Outra Pessoa

Neste caso, se você quiser compartilhar alguma publicação da web2 que não seja sua, não tem nenhum problema ou regra especial, você irá fazer o mesmo que foi descrito no tópico anterior.

Compartilhando uma postagem sua ou de outra pessoa, quer dizer que você deseja que essa postagem receba um impulso e participação dos membros da Hive, sendo assim, nada a mais precisa ser feito.

Abaixo um exemplo do nosso membro @saavedraa compartilhando o link de uma publicação do X feito pela Hive Argentina. Ele poderia compartilhar de qualquer outra pessoa que teria o mesmo efeito, somente colocando uma breve descrição e a #gosh.

Participando e Apoiando Outras Publicações

Por fim, como posso ajudar com as publicações de outras pessoas? Caso você não queira pegar o link de uma postagem da web2 e compartilhar nos Snaps da HivePosh, você pode ajudar engajando e impulsionando outras postagens que foram colocadas lá!

O processo é bem simples, quando você vai nos Snaps da comunidade HivePosh e encontra uma publicação que achou interessante, você deve fazer todas as ações possíveis para ajudar a impulsionar essa publicação. Praticamente expliquei isso no começo da postagem, mas é isso que devemos fazer.

Por exemplo, encontrei um snap onde @ismeris indica uma postagem realizada no X e decidi que quero ajudar a engajar nessa publicação:

Neste caso a publicação está no X (a maioria das publicações vem dele) então como foi compartilhado o link para essa postagem, clico nela e assim vou para a página do X onde está a publicação, deixo um like, RT e um comentário:

Após isso, faço uma captura de tela mostrando que eu fiz tudo (like, RT e comentário) e coloco no Snap que vi lá no começo (aquele que ismeris fez) e coloco essa imagem, provando que realmente participei fazendo todas as ações possíveis para impulsionar essa publicação no X:

Então se quero ajudar a impulsionar uma publicação, devo participar desta forma. Posso ficar de olho em todos os Snaps e assim ir ajudando a impulsionar eles em suas devidas redes sociais web2.

Ah, mas e se for um link do instagram?

Simples, você dá um like na postagem, faz um comentário e assim tira print tentando mostrar que você fez essas duas ações e coloca no Snaps. A maioria das redes da web2 seguem esse padrão: um like, talvez um RT e um comentário, pronto, tire um print disso e coloque no snap que contem o link para a publicação web2 que você viu.
