Max is growing so fast. Sometimes I still can't believe that this little puppy who arrived in our home last May 27 is already becoming a big dog. Every week I can see changes on him. His paws became bigger, his body is getting longer, and his eyes still looks so innocent.
This week I finally bought him a potty tray and a new collar. It is not expensive but I was really happy because little by little I can buy the things that he needs. Ria was actually more excited than me when the parcel arrived. She immediately started opening the package while Max was just watching us like he already knew it was for him.

I still can't afford the potty pads so we used our old clothes instead. We just wash them every time he pee. At first Max didn't understand what the tray was for. He kept walking away from it and prefer the floor. We didn't even use any potty training spray. We just keep putting him there and patiently waited. After few days he finally learned where to pee. I was honestly so proud of him.

The only problem now is... he still don't want to poop there. π Maybe one day he will learn that too. We are not giving up.
His old collar was made of metal chain. It already became too heavy for him so Katsuki and Max went to their grandmother's house to replace it with a better one. When everyone saw Max they all said almost the same thing.

Some even noticed his beautiful eyes and his big paws. They said maybe he has some breed in him. I honestly don't know, but for us he is already perfect just the way he is.
Looking at Max also reminds me of Bruno, his brother.

Bruno arrived earlier at my in-laws house while Max came to us later. Even if Bruno came first, Max became bigger and healthier because we really tried our best to feed him well and take care of him. My son even told me before that he saw Bruno being treated badly sometimes. That really broke my heart.
Sadly, Bruno is gone now. π
Sometimes life really isn't fair. I wish Bruno also received the same love that Max receives every single day. Maybe things could have been different.

When people praise Max today and tell us how handsome he is, I always remember Bruno. I wish somebody also looked at him with love while he was still here.

That is why every single day I try to remind my kids that every animal deserves kindness. They cannot speak, but they can feel love, fear, hunger, and pain just like us.
Max may only be a dog, but he already became part of our family. I hope he stays healthy for many more years because this little boy has already filled our home with so much happiness.
