This Is How I Felt Today - Demonstrated By Maesi

Isn't she the cutest?

Gosh, I look at this little girl and see how she approaches me filled with love and I almost feel guilty for writing off on adopting her when Mochi was not her biggest fan. It's hard to imagine that she would not be here with us, being there when she was rescued, I believe was meant to be. This kitten is so filled with love and when she wants her attention, she stands up from where she's currently chilling, meows, and walks straight to the person that she demands attention from.

At first, we thought she was a bit too much, but my other half was right when he said she will calm down. It's strange we didn't see it sooner but I guess we were grieving because of Mochi's death so I should not feel guilty.

She loves us all

This was an essential demand from all of us, that this would not be just my cat, as Mojo was, and well Mochi too. It seemed that Luna was more into me than Maesi at first, but I can now say that she often chooses me to hang out with. Thankfully, she's not denying anyone's attention and still cuddles up on my daughter's lap or hangs out in the office with my boyfriend too during the day so we're making progress, lol.

Tunnels

I knew cats love tunnels, which is why I bought one for them. It's not that big though and they much prefer to crawl into smaller spaces. We already had a stressful afternoon I think the first week after Luna moved in when she hid inside a part of the couch we could not see. The baby was just sleeping and didn't respond to our callings or us making sounds on the couch to hopefully scare her out. This was an excellent idea according to Maesi as now it's her daily mission to get in between the cushions and crawl into the couch. First, they could only do so when the two seats that can be made bigger were opened, but they already found a way to get in no matter what we do to protect the entrances. It's amazing how these tiny creatures are such magicians in hiding.

Another toy

They love their toys, and it's funny to see how they go bananas with this new one I bought recently:

Luna is also growing quite well, although Maesi is still definitely bigger, Luna is often the bossy one nowadays. Let's hope she also comes down a bit soon as Maesi did. When she's not being wild, she's such a sweetheart and loves to be cuddled, Maesi doesn't prefer us to pick her up but mostly comes to us by herself where we can pick up Luna and instantly convince her it's time to cuddle.

Feeling sick

I had a few days of migraine over the weekend and Monday, which sucked. Today I thought I felt better and dropped our daughter off at school again while yesterday her dad did it to cover for me feeling shit. And then I drank a coffee after three days of not having one, which was a horrible mistake, I started to feel sick and had to spend most of the afternoon on the couch. I think the heat made it worse as well because when feeling nausea, 39 degrees Celsius surely doesn't help.

Thankfully, my little furry friends kept me company some part of the time, which always makes it better with their purring sound so close to me. It's for a reason they call it the healing vibration, right?

I was very low on energy the rest of the evening and only found time late in the evening to write this post while feeling the pressure from the heat so it's probably going to be a sticky night again.

Time to dive into bed because otherwise getting up in the morning will be an issue..
