Market Friday : Appetite

My #marketfriday is based on my taste to eat fish stew and rice. I am so grateful to @dswigle for the encouragement in #marketfriday.

I visited my local market once again to get things for my fish stew and rice. I love this market because it gives you the opportunity to make your choice in the market by selecting what to buy and whom to buy from. Unlike the normal street vendor, you only buy the available whether you like it or not.
And this local market sale a lot of good things especially food stuffs, you can get it cheaper here than outside. Some things sold here are produced by the neighboring communities, while other things which are not produced locally are shipped in from other states.

There is availability of tomatoes and fresh peppers in the market now, but they are not cheap.

The tomatoes in front is #300 each, the pepper here is #100 each, the tomatoes behind the pepper is #500 each portion.

Fish is normally shipped in from other nearby states, the crisis (some communal clash) happening in those states made the fish to be expensive, and the lady I bought the fish from said fish are normally costly this period.

These ones are #300 each unlike before when it is sold for #150

Rice price is still the same, you will be pained to throw a grain of rice not to talk of when plenty is mistakenly poured lol.

It is getting expensive to eat - everywhere! All of the prices have gone up, we have to make cuts in other places in the budgets. The tomatoes look great and it is too bad the fish is so expensive. I live near water, so we usually fish for our own and crabs too. It is a budget saver.

The farms seem pretty abundant, so why are they charging so much? Fish soup sound delicious!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through by their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Yah
The budget is always cut in the market.
Wow, having no worries on how to get fish and craps is a cool one.
Well, here we don't have much rivers to get fish from we normally ship it in from neighboring states. When that is done the price is increased because of the transportation fare. And the woman I bought fish from said their is high purchase of fish now and little is available to buy from the neighboring states.
I really don't understand if is a tradition for a communal clash to happen during this period, thereby creating fear on the neighboring states hindering them from fishing.

That is too bad in these times.
