I like this series as most of the time, I have an idea for a topic, but I'm still not sure how I will get to the point of a story... The best thing to do is to start from the beginning, and try to explain my thought process (it could sound like rambling, but stay with me... it will make sense until the end... 😃)...
Firstly, I have finally listened to others who said to me to use more of my personal photos and not photos from the Internet... So, this one (the photo in the background) was taken in Graz, 3 weeks ago while I was walking by the river Mur... The message is so simple, but we don't like to listen to it... It's easier to turn on a TV and shut off our brain... (that's what I was doing an hour ago)...
Secondly, recently, I'm in talks with @achim03, and wider @liotes community about the idea of starting the YouTube account where we would share our experiences with crypto, dapps that we are using, but also some business experiences, maybe AI stuff that we research, etc. We asked our Liotes community about this idea as we want to integrate others too, and we got some great feedback! (Thanks, guys!)
Thirdly, obviously, we are aware of our "inexperience" about running a YT channel and we wanted to check out a number of people who are doing similar things... Some who are "reachable", and where we could get in a few months/years... While I was in the #PYPT show run by @shadowspub, @bookerman mentioned the website https://socialblade.com/, where you can check out visits, rough earnings, etc. of your favorite YT creators...
Fourthly, even before having those stats (visible), when we were developing the idea of running a YT channel, we didn't have any expectation about YT earnings... The main focus would be on providing value to the audience, creating a community around, networking, eventually presenting apps (potential referral earnings), and of course, promoting HIVE in an organic way...
Fifthly, while joining different Discord HIVE meetups, I heard a few complaints about our chain... I mean, most of us are aware of issues... Someone doesn't like a specific person, someone doesn't like the specific proposal, or a community, or downvotes, or HiveWatchers, or... Hive isn't ideal... It has its pros and cons... As it is one big community, it is supposed to be different opinions and views... On the other side, as it is relatively big, if you don't like someone, you don't have to interact with that person at all...
Lastly, all that I wrote here in the post happened on HIVE or around HIVE! I heard many times that the most commonly used argument for HIVE onboarding is: "You can earn by blogging"! None of the things that I listed got me any direct financial benefit (maybe earnings on this post will), but what did I get?
None of this would be possible without HIVE!
So, what are you selling on HIVE? Only your words in the post, or does it go far beyond that? Please, don't "Miss the forest for the trees"! Don't miss the fun, the joy, making new friends, inspiration by others, inspiring others... The money will come... Hive is more than author's and curation rewards...
Thank you for your time.

I wish you all the luck for youtube channel .
At current time, we have a huge gap in channels/influencers that share "correct" information .
That's exactly the idea behind it... To share honest information about our experiences and knowledge! Trying to be the most objective...
Just today I suggested to a new girl to use her own photos to accompany her reflections, it's a very curator thing....
Happy weekend bro, it's always nice to read you, you demonstrate with facts everything you write because you live Hive and you understand that it's not just blogging, this community goes beyond, although not everyone can understand it. I think that a Liotes youtube channel can work, maybe it will take a while to have some success, I don't know much about it either, but when you work from your heart everything is possible.
I send you a mega hug man!
Not everyone understands it, or wants to understand it... But those who do are those that we should hang around with! To not waste time with short-term thinking people, and focus on those who want to grow with us... 😉
Have a great upcoming week! Greetings to your other half! 🍷
It’s for sure important to figure out what we are and can do without all of the financial side in the way. Yes it’s why we are all here, but beyond that what is it these people like and contribute with? That’s what’s tricky to tell the newer people that I’ve come across.
It should be that tricky to explain to people... HIVE is a FB, but more fun as you can have a closer relationship with your followers and friends... + You can help each other by supporting them with your stake! 😀
Moving focus from money to having fun, makes more money in the long term... How great is that?! 😃
So yes and no. In fact, I am here for blogging. It's the only place online where I share what's going on in my life and what I like. I share my privacy with my posts here. There's not much of that :)
Delegate to Ecency and earn 100% daily curation rewards in $Hive!
Everything else you listed is a bonus for me. That's how I imagine a community.
You are not here ONLY for blogging! This comment proves that! 😃
What you are doing is a normal social media "behavior"... You share stuff on the network, but you also consume content, engage, comment, and APPRECIATE other content creators!
There is a HUGE (and probably crucial) difference between JUST CREATING posts, and having a normal interaction with people on the network...
I don't think so. Creating content means (for me) being ready to interact with the people who consume it. Over the years, I have learned to see the difference. That's why I appreciate other content creators.
I agree that if you don't like someone just add to block or ignore him, it's not a big deal lol as for the others, if you don't like things, power up and your voice will be louder
Here the only way to sell hive would be "earn money" because people are greedy like hell nowadays, economics not really going well
It's amazing how people get easily offended... and we had many cases when people would leave the platform because of 2-3 different opinions... Ignore and move on... that's the best message ever!
For me, I'll forever appreciate and be grateful all of the things I've learned through Hive, in terms of knowledge on crypto, different ways of life in different parts of the world, and the authenticity of experiences shared on this social aspect of the network. I think that's priceless, for the most part!
Agree! I would also add on top some great people that I met here, who bring some new views and a mindset to my life!
That is priceless!
Hive is a great place, obviously. I mean it's one of those (if not the only) places that doesn't segregate. I've gained so much from Hive, including the knowledge and access to the crypto world, and a few things like cabalism, downvotes or discrimination won't change these incredible things about Hive.
I'm so happy to read comments like this! People who appreciate things, good and bad...
Thanks for sharing positive vibes! Knowing your difficulties in life, those positive vibes coming from you are worth 5 times more! 💪
Thanks, I mean. I can never undermine Hive.. the experience here has been unimaginably incredible. Through my diagnosis and illness I've met great people, including a doctor who I mostly talk with, on discord.
For sure HIVE is not perfect, or perhaps it has time to be. If the motto is You can earn by blogging then we should help the undervalued posts and users here, thus we can promote HIVE to the future users, rather than being giver-and-taker ;)
I know that many people get that motto, which isn't true... at least, it's not the "whole" truth... Because of that, newbies think that when they come here, they will just collect "magic internet money" that is waiting just for them to pick it up... They would TAKE, and others SHOULD GIVE THEM! If not, they are pissed off... 😀
That's exactly the misconception and miscommunication from onboarder about hive, when you tell me to come and sell in your market, I should expect money as return for investment.
I think with the right guidance and orientation most of this effect will stop.
Hive is more than just a place to earn. You get to learn new things and I don't think anything is perfect in the world. Of course there will be things that some might not like, but that is just a part of life. I still think Hive is better than other social media sites.
It's definitely more than a place to earn... I improved so many different skills on my HIVE journey, without taking money out of it!
Totally agree with this. Which is why I always say this is just a hobby for me (even though I have withdrawn HBD to treat myself coffee) and I have a day job and investments that will take care of my financial needs in real life.
Hmmm not too sure what I am actually selling.. Maybe I am "selling" or to rephrase, "offering" my time/company/friendship?

@ph1102, @relf87(4/5) sent you LUV. | tools | discord | community | HiveWiki | <>< daily

Hmmm... those sentences reminded me about the upcoming HiveFest (friendship)... If I'm not wrong, you are in that part of the world where the next HF will happen... Do you plan to go? 🙂
I just went to check the dates.. And to my "horror" it clashes with one of the trips that I planned some time back.. :(
I guess I will see where it's held next year!

It's indeed a great place to be going with the right guidance and mindset at first, that why I keep pointing at how we introduce hive to the world, it can be frustrating when you tell someone to come and sell your products for reward, the outcome didn't impress the investors, that could be a disappointment to them.🤔
If only people understood the truth facts about hive and it's features it would be a greater value for all. Most sellers has left because of the fellings of not making profits.
If we want to interpret the title literally, I mean "selling"... I would say that it can be pretty valid, but for dapps on HIVE! If you have a good product/game, a good use case for HIVE, people will use it and spend money on you... As a matter of fact, that's what we need the most...
If we talk about selling content for money without adding value to readers and the platform, that is not gonna work in the long term... There are so many crap on HIVE, and I don't mean when people post their own photo, or selfie... but rather generic content, AI stuff, and things that are done for one only purpose... and that's not a value for consumers... 🙂
@ph1102 That's pretty much better selling points if users have the potential to create a selling point for hive ecosystem, yet users have more misinformation about selling on hive, from your perspective.
I can see 80 percent or more users don't really sell such product or have it at the back of their minds.
Now to think of creating a DApp on hive u you must be enclosed with such knowledge and experience towards hive.
Now we are advertising hive on web2 social media the question is, what are we inviting them for? To sell or to consume and if to sell what kind of products can they offer, that will bring to the point of who to invite.
If to consume it's also necessary to create wave for them to benefit from the product here.
I think we should work harder with educating new bees before inviting them to hive.

Your idea of using personal photos instead of images from the internet is excellent.
Awesome to hear that you found that as the most valuable message from the post!
Thanks!
Hive is not perfect, but in many ways it is the only social media place I frequent and I feel home on. Sometimes even one feels too much, I don't know how people do multiple of them.
Yeah, I have no idea either... I'm also mostly on HIVE, and maybe 10-15 min per day on FB, searching for good memes... 😂
Firstly - using your photos is the best thing you can do and you should have made an effort in this regard a long time ago 😜 Holding @mipiano responsible for this!
Secondly - starting the YouTube account can be a good thing.
Thirdly - "inexperience" about running a YT channel is something everyone is facing at the beginning. Getting experience is a process that takes time and the journey can be nice.
Fourthly - any expectation about YT earnings at the beginning would be foolish to say the least. Earning on centralized platforms where algo is used to get the wanted result by those who are running the platform, earning is not as easy as on Hive. Find your niche, build a solid foundation, get your audience and earnings will (hopefully) come 😬
Fifthly - someone will always be unsatisfied with something on Hive, no matter how things are done and that's fine. You can't satisfy them all.
Lastly - onboarding people by telling them "You can earn by blogging" is a recipe for failure. Those who come for the earnings, will leave shortly, frustrated.
What I'm selling? What crosses my crazy mind the day of posting, mostly 😜
Thanks for your encouraging words, and keeping MiPiano responsible is good! She is behind the thing with photos... 😜
Also, thanks for all the other tips and views... We will start slowly and see what happens... Not having too big expectations from a centralized platform, but if it could help in getting more eyes on HIVE, why not... Also, during the process, there will be a lot of researching and learning, which is also positive...
