Moving week

All the background work has been completed and we're officially moving into a two bedroom apartment. We booked multiple viewings but accepted the first one we saw because it ticked all the boxes.

Back in Nigeria, we also moved into the first two bedroom apartment we viewed and it turned out to be a blessing for us. I have a good feeling about this place.

Moving into an unfurnished house comes with a host of challenges. Top of the list is buying the right furniture and that was what took us on a voyage to IKEA.

I heard IKEA was huge but I didn't realize just how huge. We spent almost four hours walking around the showroom, sometimes lost and sometimes frustrated.

Being inside IKEA gave me flashbacks of working in a warehouse. It felt like an eternity had passed by and that the day was never going to end. Just like every other day, it finally ended and we left there with some good purchases that will breathe life into our apartment.

There's still some way to go, in terms of organizing the house. We've not bought all the furniture we'll need and there's still some aesthetics to sort out. We'll just have to take it one day at a time and do as much as we can do this month.
