In a bid to grow my brand, I decided to get my Twitter account back. What I thought would require a lot of explanation, turned out to be a very simple process.
My hunch is that the "Elon Musk" revolution has something to do with how smooth recovering my account has been. His new model involves paying for a blue tick and with that in mind, we're all prospective customers, so no need to throw it away.
I've been scrolling through Twitter for a minute and it doesn't seem like I missed much. It's the same old things going on there and my time away has made me quite indifferent about the space.
In any case, my aim is to somehow revive my brand, bring more traffic to my page and work my up from there. So, at some point, I guess I'll just have to get in the groove.
I've noticed that pretty much everyone has a blue tick these days and I'm pretty certain that I'll need it to grow my brand. However, I will not be rushing to pay the money just yet.
I know that having a blue tick gives you an advantage in the algorithm but I'll try to carve out some attention for myself without a tick before paying.
There's also the simple fact that right now, I'm poor as shit, so I can't be paying a monthly or annual subscription that won't add immediate value to my life. It will have to wait until later, when I have spare time and cash.
The reason I'm poor these days is partly because of the horrible crypto market but also because I've been liquidating everything to sort out our relocation plans. We only recently completed our visa application, so we're anxiously waiting for a response that will determine our next step.
Our plans always seem to come into my conversations these days and it's actually the reason I've been low on motivation to create content. Well, this, coupled with the fact that our dogs have turned our house into a very uncomfortable pig sty makes it rather difficult to find the necessary motivation.
In any case, I'm back on Twitter for now and I'll start to slowly work my way up. I'll be tracking the Hive tag so I can be seen on Twitter, engage more tweets and eventually get back in my groove.
Glad to see your going back on the social media horse again :)
Thanks mate. I'll probably have to pay for that blue tick because right now, it feels like nobody is seeing my tweets and I'm just talking to myself
I wouldn’t put too much focus on the twat platform, it is a legacy environment. If you’re out there, spend more time talking to other people on their tweets than you do posting your own I think. We know pretty well that hive is shadow banned on there, so we would do best to engage with others primarily and spread the word of hive that way I think.
The word of hive, feels like a Bible verse hahaha.
Hope you get your motivation back up!
Getting verified will unshadow ban Hive or at least it will for my own tweets.
Eh as I said, don’t put too much faith in that legacy shit. Don’t waste your money!
