Streephotos with a vintage 100-300mm Tokina lens

Today I visisted a friend in the elventh district and had a look at his studio. I only live a couple of blocks from there so I took a walk and took with me my trusty sony alpha 7 II and the vintage 100-300mm Tokina Lens.
The outcome is straight out of camera and has not been tempered with in any way.

Just have a look how awkward the camera looks with this lens on it. You can see the KF Concept adapter for nikkor lenses between the lens and the camera. This ensures the correct focal distance between the cameras sensor and the lens.

I use the built in stabilizer on the 300mm setting I have the shutter speed above 300 at all times. As it is a rule of thumb to have at least the length of the lens as a speed setting.

Now lets see what I cought today shall we:

cute little doggo stepped out of focus unfortunately but I still like this shot. It was kind of a golden hour already as the sun came in very flat. It burst through the street and was really a force to reckon.

Again out of focus but this fella was huge. He was at least 210 cm tall.

The bike had a bad day today as it seems.
I have to get better with setting the focus, but it is not that easy, especially when you are dealing with moving objects.
The approximately 3 meters that I set the focus away from the dude are only a few millimeters on the focus ring.

I like this shot very much, I just wish that truck would be fully in frame.

I like to use this length of a lens and would love to have one where I can use the cameras skillset such as autofucus and faster reactiontimes. I will have to buy a 70-200 mm f2.8 lens some day. But first I gotta pay off the taxman.
