Good morning dear Friends and Photography Lovers ššø
I'm continuing with a series of posts with photos from an evening walk in the park in the heart of my city. Yesterday, someone asked me in a comment why there were no people anywhere in such a beautiful park and on such a beautiful and peaceful night. I replied, and I'll write something in response at the beginning of this post.
My city is broken, I call it Broken Town. An awful lot of people have left to work abroad in search of a better future. The politics and leadership of the city work the way most people in power do, they are most important to themselves, even though they were elected to work for the betterment of all of us together. The terrible earthquake in 2020 also had a negative outcome for all of us. I won't even write about the damn Covid that it did to us all.
But, let's move on, those of us who are here!
That evening I wasn't looking for anything. And I found peace.
Just the smell of the night, the rhythm of footsteps and the soft rustling of leaves under the streetlights.
Somewhere in the distance, the sound of a guitar, a couple laughing in whispers and a bench waiting for me to stop on it. Everything seems familiar, but every time it's new. The city breathes differently in that light ā slower, quieter, deeper.
I walked down these stairs a million times in my youth. Namely, this building in the background is my high school where I went for four years. That's my Sisak High School.
An evening walk in the park in the heart of the city ā like a little escape from reality. Everything that was important during the day, at that moment, ceases to exist.
In that brief respite between day and night, everything is in its place. š
This is all for Today dear Friends, see you Tomorrow
