Wavy lines at the beach

When I saw the subject of the Qurator Photo Quest for this week I immediately knew which type of photos I had to look for in my archive; picture of the beach. I had to search my archive since the weather is just becoming a bit better in the past days.
And although it is also nice to visit the beach, which I happen to live close to, the patterns on the beach are better when there has been less wind.

The following photo shows the wavy lines on the beach both literally and figuratively. The heads of the waves form wavy lines, but also the waves that wash upon the shore create a wavy line.

When the tide goes out and the water recedes, puddles are left behind on the beach. The wind creates nice ripples on the surface of the water.

And the water isn't the only thing that gets 'wavy' by the wind. The wind also plays around with the sand which often results in these beautiful patterns.

As you see it it is almost art...
Apart from the picture above I have a couple of more that show these beautiful wavy lines created by the wind. It's almost a shame to walk over it and destroy the pattern.
Normally the wind smoothens it all.

Here is a close-up shot of the pattern. This one was taken after a rainshower. You can see this because the sand isn't that smooth.

This was my take on wavy lines. Thanks for stopping by!

Scientists just discovered a cow-like plant.
They’re calling it a BO-VINE.
