After a long and dark winter, spring is arriving here in western Europe. The buds on the trees are opening up and blossom is making the views colorful again.
It always makes me happy to see more colors in nature again.



The barren branches of one of the trees in my backyard have filled up with nice pink blossom. It contrasts nicely with the blue sky we had today.



The floor in the park, which has been covered with brown dead leaves for months is turning green again. Here and there the first wood anemones are showing up.



The tree tops still are barren, but it won't be long until both the floor and the ceiling are completely green again.



Some branches are already showing tiny leaves.



I think it's quite early, but this rhododendron is already full of flowers. I have one in my backyard which usually has flowers in May.



Nonetheless, the flowers itself are beautiful!



Also the animals are coming back to life. I heard birds everywhere and also noticed the first insects like this bumblebee that was collecting nectar.
I only brought my phone, so I couldn't shoot a quality macro photo.
