I’ve had to live with eight different roommates, every session, for the past three years and what I can tell you is to let them know whenever you’re not pleased with something they did. That way, they’d mask their dirtiness whenever you’re around. Even though, the entire room won’t be to your taste, you can tailor your side to fit you.
It’s good that you have just about a year left“. You get away from people whose behaviors don’t align with yours.

Whenever I do that, it makes me feel like I’m bossing over them. They are paying just as much as I’m paying. It’s also their space too. They clean too but sometimes it’s just a mess.
I’ll just keep managing and trying to keep everywhere to my taste as much as I can.

Exactly dear. You just said it all. Everyone with different way of living especially with people like that you just have to let them know @hopestylist. You don't have to keep quiet all the time because some of them might just need one word from you to change.
